I have less problems with him, mainly because Parker is not that good-yet. He needs to correct his mistakes in this fight, something he wouldn't be able to do against Hughie. It's just another fight for Parker to develop. He needs to if he's gonna be fighting Wilder or AJ/Klit in the next year.
Good Question Sham.....Where is Lonergan ? Anyone know ?

I got the phone call no matchmaker likes receiving Saturday telling me Fury has pulled out - Joe is fuming as he's been in camp since Jan & we've already had one shift from April to May. So being 2 weeks out, I spend my weekend trying to resurrect the event & scouring the top 15, as the WBO said that due to the circumstances it can be a non mandatory challenge. The criteria while scanning the top 15 is preferably someone around 6'6 (Furys height) .. 10 are out as they are either booked to fight or just fought (inc Fury & Ruiz) and of the 5 left you have 3 who are short (5'11 / 6' & 6'1) .. leaving Cojanu or Breazeale .. Cojanu I was uncomfortable with as he has been sparring Joe and while holding his own is one thing - he has the added benefit of understanding Joe's style better than most. Breazeale is absolutely nothing like Fury and in fairness to Joe who is already behind the 8 ball - a fight with Breazeale would require a proper camp with sparring partners with similar styles. I actually secured Cojanu on Sunday and had airline tickets booked first thing Monday morning. Cojanu had 300 amateur fights and its obvious we had nothing to do with him being rated inside the top 15 in the world - we don't chose that - the sanctioning body does. What I will say is this - the Ruiz fight was made harder by the fact that he had sparred rounds with Joe and entered the ring having a good understanding of Joe's style - Cojanu enters the ring with that same benefit and in my opinion his style makes for a more excting fight than Fury - 2 totally different styles. Remember when you secure sparring partners - the gig requires boxers of similar stature to the opponent you are facing and have the ability of adapting to their styles. So what Cojanu has been doing in camp will be entirely different to what we see on May 6.

Why not?

Duco and KB constandby dodge these fighters why would they pick the Romanian when better fights were offered.

You know full well those better fights offered came with conditions that compromised the date.

KB has dodged Wilder before, the guy is too strong. They will fight bums right up to the point they will be exposed. Say what you like about who fought who, the real focus is AJ and Wilder are KOing everyone they face, Jo is mostly fighting well below his status and struggles in better opposition to win by dodgy decisions.
It's interesting you claim Parker fights substandard opposition yet you're willing to give Wilder a pass and he has arguably the most padded record of the three champions.

One bright day in the middle of the night,

Two dead boys got up to fight;
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.

A blind man came to watch fair play,
A mute man came to shout 'Horray! '
A deaf policeman heard the noise and
Came to stop those two dead boys.

He lived on the corner in the middle of the block,
In a two-story house on a vacant lot;
A man with no legs came walking by,
and kicked the lawman in his thigh.

He crashed through a wall without making a sound,
into a dry creek bed and suddenly drowned;
The long black hearse came to cart him away,
But he ran for his life and is still gone today.

I watched from the corner of the big round table,
The only eyewitness to facts of my fable;
But if you doubt my lies are true,
Just ask the blind man, he saw it too
A poet and didn't know it

a shame but in the act
it is not mine and that's a fact
