Yep, rubbish article from yet another rugby journo.
Furys are coming. This is just mind games. They've got the whole country doubting itself. Love it.

Exactly. Let the games begin. But what is this "raising 5 million to host it in Manchester deal?" Was that part of the contract? I doubt it, with a venue and tickets already being sold.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fury gets 'injured', and 'unfortunately' has to pull out.

Haha maybe they think Jo gunna pull out
Deontay Wilder to be ringside for Klitschko-Joshua fight: “I’ll be looking at who I want next”

James Slater - April 16, 2017 Leave a Comment

When he fought his one and only fight on British shores – back in April of 2013, when he iced Audley Harrison inside a round, ending Harrison’s career – Deontay Wilder proved a real hit with the fans. Now a long-reigning WBC king, Wilder will again travel to the UK later this month; to both watch and commentate on the big Wladimir Klitschko-Anthony Joshua WBA/IBF heavyweight title fight showdown.

It’s no secret that “The Bronze Bomber” wants the winner; Wilder’s ultimate aim to become undisputed ruler over his weight class. But first he must wait and see how the 50/50 fight, set to play out before a monstrous 90,000 crowd, winds up.

“I wouldn’t miss this for anything,” Wilder told Sky Sports. “I will definitely be over and I can’t wait to see my UK fans and friends and it will be great to have my presence there. I’ll be working with Sky Sports Box Office and I’m going to enjoy the fight. I am looking forward to the whole experience. It will be a different bird’s eye view as I would call it. I will be a lot closer, see a lot more things and as I am a fighter, I know what I am looking for.”

As well as scouting his possible next ring rival, Wilder says it is important for him to “make my presence known to the fighters as well.” “I will let them know I am there and I’ll be looking at who I want next,” he added. But don’t expect a volatile leap into the ring after the fight, with Wilder getting in the face of the winner (as Tyson Fury did to Wilder after his stunning KO win over Artur Szpilka a while back). The WBC boss says that he is far too “respectful a champion” for that. A shame really, as that type of stuff really does make for great theatre!

But who does Wilder pick to win on the 29th?

“My heart is towards Joshua, my mind is towards Klitschko,” Deontay said.

Klitschko-Joshua is a massive fight and a big, big event. The winner against Wilder in a three-belt unification could be even bigger.
Joesph PArker States the obvious

Quote:Joseph Parker reveals his tactics to beat Hughie Fury in WBO title fight

Joseph Parker is working on a pressure game and mixing his attack to defend his WBO world heavyweight title against Hughie Fury.

The two square off in Auckland on May 6.

Parker knows Fury will be well-coached and well-prepared given the world championship pedigree of the British team.

But after having a year off as he battled a rare skin condition, the 22-year-old Fury presents a difficult reconnaissance job for the Parker camp in terms of up to the date information.

But Parker has been suitably impressed with what he has managed to unearth.

"From what I've seen of him he's a tall and rangy guy and I've been able to see his style and what he does well. He's got height and reach on me so I've got to apply pressure and mix up my attacks," Parker told livefight.com.

"We don't know what his tactics will be, but we've got our game-plan so we'll see if he does what he usually does or brings something different on the night.

"It will be important to mix up my attacks; it's got to be body-head, body-head constantly changing my attack."

Parker feels he has had a better training camp than he did for his successful title shot against Andy Ruiz. That has given him confidence to handle anything Fury will throw at him.

"We've made a few changes and we've already felt the benefits to myself and it's helped in the completion to my camp. I've full faith in all my coaches and I trust them totally and what we've been working on and look forward to showing it against Hughie Fury," Parker told livefight.com.

Parker said the Fury camp were well versed in these occasions and that would add to their confidence, despite having to fight in New Zealand.

"He's in much the same position Tyson Fury was before did the unthinkable and beat Wladimir Klitschko so his team has done this before and will be very confident of doing so again."

Parker even talked up the possibility of taking on Tyson Fury if he can continue to hold the belt the giant Brit once owned.

"I'm fighting Hughie and if I beat him I think Tyson would want to come back and try and get revenge. He'd want to also try and regain his old title and I'd welcome that fight. I've got huge respect for Tyson Fury as he beat the long-reigning, dominant heavyweight champion and started bringing some excitement back to the division."

Parker said it was a privilege to be on the scene right now considering the opportunities that beckon.

"It's great to be a part of the division now, it's so much more intriguing than two or three years ago," Parker said.

"I'm a champion now but there's still a lot of hard work to do and I've much to learn. I look forward to the next few years and featuring in the big fights the division is promising."

I like Jo, but he can't promote a fight to save himself
Yes, but he won't need to, as the Fury's will do all the promoting necessary once they land in NZ.
They asked him questions so he answered them.
Remember Joe is not a promoter he's a fighter
The Fury's have done a great job of promoting the fight already.
