I don't think Parker is better against taller fighters. I just think the guys he's fought are not as good as Takam and Ruiz, two guys Joe has struggled with.
Sure glad you brought that up Die, kiwi wants to believe everything KB says. That is his perogative, but remember kiwi pouts very easily when you disagree with him and may pull his swag and stop posting for several weeks.
I'll break my thoughts down. Taking a step back, regardless on how he got there, Parker has achieved a World Title. I posted on here where people would think Parker gets to in his career, and many thought a title shot or a title with 1 defence. I was in the title shot with 1 defence vote.

I wish the young fulla all the best in the world. He did things hard in his amatuer career, family sacrificing things to give him a chance.

If he ends up 32 and 3 at career end. Happy days. He's cemented himself as ONE of our best HW's in the last 50 years.

FYI

Parker to KO Fury
Ah Sham, personalities galore. I believe that Takam and Ruiz have been his two best opponents, and are a measuring stick of where he needs to go. I've been impressed with his pulling out the win against both, but not overly impressed with how he fought them. Hughie is a different beast, who will give Joe something different. I can't wait. Joe needs to step it up to beat an Ortiz, AJ, or Wilder. Can he do it? I'll be a lot more confident if he does well against Hughie.

What's wrong with wanting to believe what KB says? Nothing wrong with that. It's better than being a KB hater, which I can only assume is because he's gone on to much higher heights as a trainer than you ever did.

Lets take the personal out of it, not really needed is it?

Thank you, NakiFan. Makes my job easier. For the record, Sham doesn't hate KB. Sham stirs. Sham even likes Parker, he just thinks Duco over-hypes him. Boy, it feels good talking for Sham. He oughta pay me!
It's a promoters role to hype up their fighter and sell the fights. We just never really experienced that with Tua due to the era, and the fact that Tua was based in the States and he fought once in 1994 in NZ and the next time was 11 years later.

Hearn hypes up his team. Al Haymon does his. Bob Arum is oldschool but still does it.

I filter this stuff out, and to be honest respect what I read on here. You guys have far more experience than me in boxing. I am more of a keen eye. An observer and calculator. This skill helped me when I was playing my #1 sport, Cricket. Where as a fast bowler I exploited weakness.

I think Ortiz would be the worst possible opponent for joe, although he looked lackluster lately i think he struggled to get up for those fights.

Hes carlos takam with a lot more skill and a lot more power

...and a southpaw. I would rate AJ and Wilder ahead of Ortiz in relation to troubling Parker. But they're all right up there. Joe CAN beat all three. Not on the same night, of course. But he's really got to improve.
