Don't put parker and AJ together, they don't belong together. AJ can bang, Parker cannot!
This will probably be ridiculed, but I think Parker @ ~109KG has similar power to AJ.

Takam or Ruiz probably have the top 5 chins in the sport. I really look forward to Parker fighting an opponent like Whyte, Breazeale or Duhaupas to fairly compare power among the champs.

They have decent chins, although in the case of takam thats questionable, once you have been brutally KO'd like he has you usually arent the same.

But its not the fact parker didnt stop them that concerns me but that he couldnt even make them respect his power.

One of our members posted a poll on ESB of parker v hughie then got irate because it was fairly close in votes!!

That was probably a dig at me. I was far from irate, more like surprised.

You made a poll and then started arguing and rubishing hugie fury when you didnt like the results you got.

Should have just made a thread saying parker is going to walk through and ko hughie and stood by your convictions.
"I can't believe the poll is 50 50...

We are talking about a young, less tested prospect having the same chance of winning a belt against Parker who has a far superior resume, home advantage, heavier hands, faster hands, tested chin,...."

This was posted on that thread by me. The question on the poll was... "Who wins and why?". I was standing by my convictions as I publicly stated that Parker is my pick. This post above was there to start further conversation on the matter. Your interpretation of arguing is a bit off.

This was my only other post on a thread that contains 123 replies...this was posted after I voted.

"Parker. Hughie looks like a skilled individual when boxing on the outside, but to be honest he hasn't exactly been matched with any aggressive come forward punches. Kassi (a well past it) at times caused issues up close, showing me Hughie doesn't have the strength and technique yet to get out of the "in the close pocket" encounters. Parker will bring not just speed but a good jab combination getting him in close.
Will Hughie try and do his best to stay at distance? Probably, but when he gets trapped or frustrated in close, Parker will look to finish him.

Parker mid KO."

There was a good deal of arguing on the thread...but my member name is the same on BF24 as it is here. Please feel free to check out the thread.

Given his level of opposition, I don't think Hughie (or Miller for that matter) deserve a mandatory status. That said, Wilder hasn't even faced a mandatory yet after 5 fights. AJ? Can't remember. Is Klit his mandatory?

So far, Parker has shown power against easier opposition. Against Takam and Ruiz? No. Even Parker said he was frustrated. Hughie will present some interesting challenges for Parker with his movement, size, and unorthodox style. I hope he shows up.

Don't know why people think I'm biased about Parker. I want the guy to win. Badly. Is that biased? More like loyalty for a fighter I like. Sham would say love. Like he loves Klit and AJ. That's ok. Does Parker have work to do? Huge. But he's young, and fighting two guys who won't test his flaws if he fights Hughie and Bellew. Time to get it right before taking on the big boyz.
Well die we'll only know if Hughie can test Parker's qualities if he shows up. Bellew is there by default in my opinion by beating a guy with one leg and a sore toe, otherwise we will be talking David Haye which would stretch the odds a little. But you do agree a win with AJ or Klit would be hard put at the moment. These are the big boys you have mentioned. We need to add Wilder there too I imagine, and couple of others.
Yes. Another level up, bigtime, if Parker fought AJ/Klit. I'm not saying he would lose to either of them, but he'd have a lot of work to do to correct his flaws and have a great gameplan. I think he'd have a better chance with AJ, if only because of styles. But yeah, he'd have a hard time with all the guys I mentioned, and be the underdog. Like I say, though, beat Hughie and Bellew, correct your flaws, come up with a great gameplan, and we'll see.
Trainer Peter Fury denied NZ entry
By Ray Wheatley – World of Boxing

WBO mandatory heavyweight challenger Hughie Fury (20-0, 10 KOs) will challenge WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (22-0,18 KOs) at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, on May 6 without his father/trainer Peter Fury in his corner after Immigration New Zealand declined a visa for the elder Fury on “character grounds”.

Immigration New Zealand issued a statement saying: “Mr Fury was ineligible for a visa unless granted a special direction. His case was fully considered and all representations submitted on Mr Fury’s behalf were taken into account before a decision was made to decline his request for a special direction.”

Fury has twice spent time in prison on drug-trafficking related charges. Parker’s promoter Duco Events said on Twitter that the fight will still be taking place.

The tweet said: “The WBO Heavyweight Title fight between Joseph Parker and Hughie Fury is still going ahead as planned.”
