The good news is that there IS a couple of fighters to choose from who are competitive. There's talk about how much money Breazeale would want, so I'm assuming he would not pick up Hughie's paycheck amount? About 1.7 million.
I probably won't watch Parker vs Rudenko, but would definitely watch Parker vs Brezealle

I'm sure he'd sign for $700k

Hands up, who works for our NZ Media? I posted that Instagram 22 mins after Breazeale uploaded it...
Yup, we must have a pipeline to the media. I can't even look at who's registered to find out, as we have so many "guests" on here. The author didn't even have a by-line. If I find out who it is, NakiFan, I'll make sure youi get paid. Better yet, I'll tell Mr Higgins, and he might give you a corporate seat.
Anyone know what they would be paying? I was thinking $500k with all factors considered. late notice v title shot and probably one of the best chances said fighter will get etc but have no idea tbh

Media would follow forums for sure especially with boxing as most have no idea but duco will be leaking out every bit of info as the mileage they getting is unreal. Pretty much every website in nz is covering the Fury pull out

Brezeale got $175,000 usd for the ugonoh fight. I wouldnt imagine it would be to much more for a chance at a title.
Ok then, thanks to google conversion rates $450,000 NZ is about $316 usd and $247 pounds.
Surely that's a career high pay day for the likes of Miller, Rudenko, Fedosov, Kabayel, Fujimoto etc but with just two weeks who is in the gym and in shape maybe more of a deciding factor than money.
You have to wonder if Breazeale really wants the Parker fight now or is just using the opportunity to get his name out there. He's probably only one fight away from a mandatory and if he had a full camp to work on defence and get in better shape who knows what he could do.
He doesn't fight in the best shape so what would he be like on two weeks notice?
I'm expecting Parker's opponent to be cheap and the fight to be over in three rounds max. Please let me be wrong!
If it's a good opponent, and it sells, Duco could be making a lot more money than if they paid Hughie the $1.7. Good on them. Maybe the PPV will be less???

I agree, is Breazeale really fit enough to fight on short notice? It really should be a guy who's scheduled to fight in the coming weeks or month, and cancels that fight to fight for the title and more money.
