Afa retired Clarence Tillman for the day with a body shot at the same session.

Interesting stuff.

In saying all that, Afa was pretty basic during his time and Mailata has developed a great skills set. He needs a Mike Tyson outlook to endure amongst the big men I be thinking.

Sham, why are you saying he needs to adopt a Tyson outlook? He looks and fights nothing like Tyson. Tua was the one who needed to fight like Tyson. I'd say Mailata needs to fight like one of your boyz: Klit! Strong jab, great right hand. Somewhat cautious but intelligent.

Afa fought a little like Tyson. Different skill set, but he brought it.

Afa didnt use his head. But Mailata is quite short and I considered Tysons style might work for him. David Tua would have come unstuck against Tyson prime to prime in my opinion.

Sham, that's where you're confused. Mailata is not short, he's 6'5". Sham, do you wear glasses when you ride your motorcycle???

Well then its not my eyes its my memory Die. I some times run into trouble at home too lol. Mailata has skills and is a tough cookie, that I remember. Some experience he could definitely be a force. I hope he gets the right backing, could be a good lad.
Sham, got a solution for you. Right next door to where I live is a retirement home, with a memory loss wing. Like you at home, I've told Mrs D that's my next stop if I forget one more thing. Go there, and they'll improve your memory!

I can now see why you kept banging on about Mailata being like Tyson as you thought he was short. He might have been in the past, and had a huge growth spurt. He IS a bit overweight, and could lose 10-15kg's. Think Klit, not Iron Mike!

Die I thought you n I were friends (sort of) but you have now fed me to the dogs... I can't see how I can ever regain top status as a contributer...haha
Mailata was quite young when I 1st met him.
Terry Reid Batchelor however could have amounted to something too if his health problems didn't intervene.
Yeah, we're "sort of" friends forever. Always willing to point out your shortcomings so that you'll have room to improve. Your crusty, cranky self? I don't know. Will have to talk to Gail about that!

That explains it. Mailata was a boy when you knew him. Very short. Grew up to be a man, and got taller. How could you have known?

Believe me Sham, when you post, the numbers go thru the roof here. I oughta pay you. Certainly increase my membership numbers, and my bank account.

Haha Die you crusty old varmint, I guess we are glued together because of your fear I might knock on your door one day...yr heart isn't too good now is it champ....
If you're getting paid Die, have you got a use for me to keep the place tidy.... it's time I made a change.
I have no use for you at all, Sham, except as a "sort of" friend forever. You come knockin' on my door, I'd challenge you to a fisticuffs duel. I'd hit you with my lightening fast jab and...RUN!

And, with the money I get from memberships for this forum, I'm gonna buy a boat.

Now, you go back to Chartwell and behave yourself!
