Yeah a lot of mismatches to be honest. Concerning that David Light was rocked I thought in an otherwise easy night for him. Hard to tell yet about Mailata but he made easy work of Aloese, as as the commentators kept saying about Helu, he shouldn't be anywhere near heavyweight. With the right team around him he could be something but he needs to lose a lot of weight first.

Die, didnt see it but is mailata anything like an early Tyson ?
Sham, it was FREE. Thought you'd be all over it. Do you mean Tyson Fury or Mike Tyson? He's like neither one of them. Aloese offered Mailata nothing, so it was hard to judge him. I see Mailata as a big, strong guy with good boxing skills. I'll get in trouble for saying this, but he's as good as Fa right now, based on that performance last night. Given better competition though, and some pressure placed on Mailata, I might change my mind.

Terry Reid Batchelor gave Mailata a go at the national champs held in Auckland on year but was stopped with a broken nose which wouldn't stop bleeding. I assisted Chris Martin and considered then that Mailata had what it takes except for height. Afa however went well In sparring at a later date and I considered Ada got the best of it. Afa retired Clarence Tillman for the day with a body shot at the same session.

Parker/what's his name undercard is the gift that keeps giving, sure the headliner and chief support bouts are crap and there's a women's fight and butterbollox (its Duco after all) but 3 potentially cracking fights and still Nort Beauchamp to be matched. What a brilliant end to the year.

In saying all that, Afa was pretty basic during his time and Mailata has developed a great skills set. He needs a Mike Tyson outlook to endure amongst the big men I be thinking.
