i agree lonergan is the culprit. he's like the driver of the clown car. hooking his wagon to higgins was his last best idea. unfortunately he's now playing dodgems with higgins's up to now carefully crafted machine.

by the way diehard, i wasn't a middle child or anything, but my monitor always shows me with only 2 stars. crtl alt delete doesn't help.
Well Parker was anything but the next world champion in his headhunting display last night with a guy below his category. But he just won't perform for the over hype machine they dazzle him with in the spotlights and glamor and way too fast media loftiness mercilessly imposed by his handlers. Jo Parker is a worthwhile heavyweight and a good developing fighter but on B-C levels.
He and Joshua are B level fighters. When they beat someone in the top 10, they can progress to A level. Parker has taken care of everything that's been put in front of him in devastating fashion. Forget the hype. Look at the fighter and his progression. He's doing OK. Needs to be managed smartly with opponents until he's ready. He can beat several top ten guys, but of course, he hasn't done it yet.
Do you not consider I am looking at the fighter hahaha.
I really don't think he would fare well in the same ring as AJ despite being tagged B level and a higher rating.

The hype and Hillsborough is what sells gullible Nz public, but can't really help Jo's equilibrium.
OK, not Jushua, but how about a top fighter like a Povetkin, or Glazekon?, or Charles Martin, or de Mori?
Did anybody attend the show at the ABA stadium last night? What were the pro results? Cheers.
Guess Lepikhin wasn't all that. Not a good look for Berridge:

Chilemba outclasses Lepikhin

By Dave Spencer at ringside

The North American belt is travelling to South Africa. Malawi born Isaac Chilemba (24-2-2 10KO) controlled all the action, what there was of it, in a ten round tilt at the Bell Centre in Montreal, scoring a unanimous decision over a reluctant Vasily Lepikhin (17-1- 9KO), handing the Ukrainian fighter his first career loss. After a fairly even second, Chilemba dominated the rest of the way, scoring a 100-90, 99-91, 99-91 victory and capturing the vacant NABF light-heavyweight title. Chilemba landed a clean uppercut in round four and was able to fire off combinations and dance circles around an opponent with little or no interest in engaging. Lepikhin waved his opponent forward in the 7th round, but even when he was in range, did little except lay on the ropes and did little to turn the fight around. Chilemba was not overly busy, but was able to reach his opponent every round with little fear of reprisal.
Chilemba is a classy boxer, still a bit of a shock though.
