As we've talked about before I like Langton and his story of coming to boxing later in life but I don't really understand where he is coming from here. Everyone has different reasons for fighting but is getting on the Opunake sports national honours really anyone's reason??? Aren't these kinds of things called an honours board becuse it's an honour to be asked to go on it? Langton has never beaten anyone with a winning record so would rather see him concentrate on fighting and his charity work and see what happens at the end of his career. Without beating anyone with a winning record I think most sports people probably see him as a nobody but boxing people give him respect because they understand how demanding the sport is.

• Official Announcement •

We are very sad to announce that due a last minute unforeseen airline issue Jenel Lausa was unable to catch his flight tonight to Christchurch and they will not be fighting this Friday.

Both Nort and Jenel absolutely devastated. They have put every ounce of energy and all their resources into this big fight. (Keep your head up boys).

We apologies to the public looking forward to this match up.

All other fights will proceed as scheduled and we encourage everyone who brought a tickets to get down there and support their fighters. They have trained their butts off and ready to put on a show.
There is plenty of great match ups including title fight between Izic Placid and Ash McConville The undercard includes 10 fighters putting it all in the line ?

We understand and happy refunding everyone who is not wanting to attend because of Nort not fighting. Please email nort@champnationboxing.com to arrange your refund.

To everyone still coming down to the big fight night to support your fighters. See you Friday for a big night of fights.

The show will go on and we apologise to everyone who misses out watching Nort Beauchamp fight.
