Its a shit argument Joshua hasn't beat anybody yet, neither has Parker. Try and get this into your heads Parker has beaten nobody substantial, the reason I think Joshua would knock Parker out is because I've got eyes in my head... Joshua is well schooled, been taught the right way. Parker as an amateur wasn't even the best in NZ, Duco and Barry have come along bigged him up but fundamentally haven't been able to change anything, I hope Junior Fa gets some backing, enough said.

Got to agree Craigyboy, spot on

Agree.

Is Takam a legit top 10 contender? Really?

He went toe to toe with a drugged up Povetkin, the fight was very close on the scorecards until the late knockout, so yes.

You think Takam isn't top 10 contender ? ,well after Fury Klitschko Ortiz. aJ JP Wilder Povetkin Pulev Haye He'd have to be good as anyone else out there after those guys.

Parker gets criticised as having beaten nothing substantial .
In that case AJs beaten nothing
I'm still not convinced with AJ , when you step up in class it all changes as we found out with Parker

Yeah but parker was already looking average at fringe domestic level getting wobbled by that Brazilian mango seller and looking dreadful against that little fat American guy.

So it was no shock when he laboured with Takam.

I honestly could see parker having to go to war to eek out a close one over breazele

Joshua schooled him in first gear

The drug povetkin was taking was a drug he'd been on for years including when he went life and death with an average Marco huck.

He kod bummy charred and Takam and suddenly he was the second coming.

People need to take the hype out of things and stop thinking about what they want to happen

We all WANT a kiwi heavyweight champion and maybe at some stage parker can get a favorable title shot match up and win a belt

But I he loses to all 3 current Champs with the possible exception of he may beat wilder if he jumps on him very early

The issue is that critics criticise Parker for not having fought anyone in the top 10. Takam was in the top 5 in several alphabets. However, the critics of Parker and supporters of AJ fail to acknowledge the same argument with AJ: he's fought NOBODY. Breazeale was a punching bag. Offered nothing except an ability to take a punch, like a punching bag.

That aside, it sounded like AJ wants Parker in the Fall. Maybe this year? I know he has to do the mandatory agreement by November, but there's no reason for him to wait until then. If it's in the Fall, me and Mrs Diehard are going!

AJ looked sensational, very well schooled, speed and power, against a poor opponent. However, anyone notice that AJ closes his eyes when he punches?

I'm not a supporter of AJ I'm just a fan of boxing.

I fully agree that joshua hasn't fought anyone either, I think Johnson and Whyte are similar to Williams and Takam to be honest I think parker and Joshua have similar records at heavyweight.

The boxrec ratings that we all loved to quote when parker was above joshua in them would agree.

However in looking at the styles I think it's clear joshua is the superior fighter. Parker does have some superior attributes but he doesn't fight in a style which uses them, he fights a style which plays straight into Joshua's strengths.

Add that into that joshua will be fighting at home with all the intangibles, and block out the hype from stannaway, Duco and the biased nz sports media and Joshua is a heavy favorite and parker is relying on a punchers chance.

Parker would have a better chance if he moved to a trainer like Adam booth for a couple of years and learned to become a mover and box on the back foot using faints and hpandspeed

But that's not going to happen he's going to have beetroot face who hhas no clue at top level and fat cat Lonergan rubbing his shoulders telling him he's superman until joshua flattens him and Duco jumps on the junior fa wagon
