Joseph Parker
And if Parker fights Bellew as his next fight after Joshua has just fought wladamir klitschko, just lol.

I dont care what "hard fights" hes had so far AJ is fighting the man next and thats the bar parker needs to aim for.

I thought boxing was all about maximizing risk versus reward
Isnt that what makes the likes of Eddie Hearn such a great matchmaker?

Surely no one would be up in arms if Haye blasted out Bellew
If Bellew wants to fight Joe I say pop his cherry

I don't think the Parker v Bellew fight is particularly competitive. Bellew doesn't have the power to KO Parker imo, and doesn't have the skills to outbox him. In saying that, if Parker beats Hughie and Bellew, his profile would be raised considerably in the UK, and it would make the AJ unification fight much bigger.

The Wilder fight would be far, far better, but if Parker goes from Hughie to Bellew to Wilder I'm not going to be complaining.

If we had known before the fight that haye was both shot and was going to suffer a severe leg injury during the fight leaving him with one good leg, i think most of us would have picked Bellew. We picked Haye on the basis of him being the same as he was when he fought chisora.

Now we know different.

The result was more about Haye being terribly diminished. I personally think bellew is just above average. If a 24 year old supposed 6'5" 247lb parker was "competetive" with the fat cruiser thatd be pretty damning of parkers abilities.

He would blow Bellew out, none of these super heavies get any credit from me for entertaining this juicy cherry pick.

"If we had have known...."
Will you say the same if AJ smashes Wlad? Will you say 'meh, Wlad was past it anyway' and downplay the win? Or will you give credit to AJ for beating a very tough opponent? I suspect the latter. As will I.

So sick of hearing people criticize the victor with "oh well the loser was shot anyway".

Bellew won fair and square, that's that. If Parker wants to fight him, which will be a big pay day, and raise his profile considerably, so what. Good on him. Damning Parker for taking the Bellew fight, whilst AJ and Wilder have been fighting worse opponents than Parker (when they were already the champs) doesn't make an ounce of sense imo.

Cool, Bellew it is then. And a win that will surely cement parker amongst the greats.

I agree
The notion that Parker is a disgrace because he's happy to fight Bellew makes no sense
If that were the case then every champ who took a voluntary is a disgrace
As is every prospect who fights a journey man

Parkers family had to take out multiple loans and be put in financial stress to get the lad a start in boxing. From this point forward JP is probably only thinking that his next move needs to be financial security for his new family and his parents. Whatever his decision, you cannot say it's for the wrong reasons.

Nah, seriously, Bellew is at the level Parker has fought to date. Wilder, Tyson Fury, AJ, Ortiz, are at another level altogether. Not saying Parker couldn't beat them, but he'd have to step up bigtime, reduce his defensive errors, and catch them with his combos. It's gonna be an exciting 2017.

I guess lets wait and see how Joseph goes against Fury.
