Hi NZ Boxing followers, as some of you may be aware Chris Kenny passed away yesterday. I would like to set up this thread for people to say their bit, and I will be taking it down to the funeral in Wellington later this week.

Chris was a hard working top bloke who did his bit for NZ Amateur Boxing. He was the National Coach for a number of years and a well respected mentor to many past NZ Champions, including his son Michael, whom I had the privilege of representing NZ along side at the 1990 Commonwealth Games where Mike won Gold in the Superheavyweight division.

RIP Chris.

Lonegran is constantly complaining that Parker will fight anyone but the only people who will fight him are Daniel Martz etc. He also says Parker will beat anyone in the division including the champs

Win this and Parker is all but guarenteed a title shot.

I am interested to see who you guys follow and support. I'm a big fan of the heavies and I don't really go out of my way to watch fights below 140lbs.

My five favs currently are Joe, Tyson Fury, Chris Eubank jr, Ggg and Wilder.

Different styles but they each bring excitement to the table whenever they fight

Not NZ boxing related, but I thought as you're all boxing fans you'd be kind of interested. A friend of mine Dan Woodgate is fighting for the Southern area cruiserweight title in England next month. (Southern area is basically a regional title fought for before you attempt fighting for the newly formed English or British title). Unfortunately I won't be there to see it (probably fortunate for him as the only times I've been around to see him fight live are both his defeats). Does anyone know the Samoa undercard yet?

I know Butterbean and Duco mentioned it would be a low budget card full of Samoan pros but nothing on Boxrec or Duco website/Facebook etc.
