Hell of a battle tonight. Big up to Jo for the win

Good win. Parker nullified Takam fairly easily. Bit concerned at how quickly JP gassed though

IMO they both have flaws. 50/50 fight for me at this point.

How about we stop any comparisons to other HWs for a bit and celebrate the win. This was his first step-up. He was quite dominant for good stretches in this fight, but needs work on small parts of his game. He has time, without fights like this he can move forward.

This was my biggest concern with the fight. Thought it was over in the fifth. Mouth open, hands down, flat feet. He gassed real early and I expected Takam to take advantage of that. But Parker took quite a few solid shots.

Since that Costa fight I have worried Parker starts too hot, loads up everything he throws. I do hope they learn from this. That said, I think it was a reasonable decision.

We have to give alot of credit to Takam, have we forgotten that Parker is only 24 and Takam is in his prime and avoided by most top fighters and we can see why...A fight like this was needed and Barry was the first one to admit straight after that Parker has a long way to go...You do get the feeling that he got a little caught in the moment perhaps...you are a fool to think this was going to be a walk in the park.
