i don't know personally how much. but normally around 15k us dollars to land them and fight here is what ve come across for that level. don't know promoter but good luck to them as is hard to fill that venue for Joe let alone Mose. in saying this i hope he does as we need promoter that are willing o bigger shows. I have promoted a show that size at ash and it bit me in the arse. hard work!!! for me Joe needs a least 200k in profit to pay for a joe fight which i don't see happening in NZ as duco have let go of allot of staff which tells me there is no shows in the next year or so in nz
I went to that show, Mohammed Azzaoui and Moyoyo Mensah. Very strange ending, funnily enough the only other time I've seen Moyoyo fight he did a similar thing against Chauncey Welliver in the CBD. The ASB is a particularly hard venue to get to as I don't drive and the public transport out east isn't so good.
Yeah was a big lesson in boxing that night. I appealed the result as Yoyo got Dq from hitting after the break. Which was crazy as ref was behind Moyoyo and his arms were free. When azzaoui hit the deck I saw him wink at someone when he was on the ground when I was in corner. The film showed that the shot didn’t hit him . Also haD the fight doctor write there were no signs on concussion in my appeal as well video. I argued that azzoui had won on a foul which you can’t do and I showed the proof. They kept result the same and ordered a rematch. Azzoui never took. Appeals area tough thing. I can’t see anything changing from Parker fight with Whyte unless you take it to a proper court to enforce.

Azzaoui went onto kidnapp his missus and children back in Algeria, Moyoyo was a very talented but troubled boxer and we all know what happened to Soul. It must of been a nightmare to promote, I'm surprised you're still involved with boxing :-)

Yeah Moyoyo and soul are like family. Moyoyo is in Africa at moment. Soul doing it tough as you know. Yoyo would come over to my house every Sunday and help me around the property. A very wealthy man in Africa now as he saved his money and bought land in Ghana.

Its good to hear he's doing well for himself, he could of been so much better than what he was, very frustrating. I don't clearly remember the Azzaoui fight as It was along time ago and I get it mixed up with the Yannick/Hamid fight which was also a crazy ending and at the ASB but I do remember the Welliver fight clearly, the ref kept telling him not to hold but he kept doing it and the ref kept deducting points. Welliver was holding too but more because Moyoyo kept catching him flush. In the end Moyoyo just got out of the ring. It turns out Welliver was way ahead on the cards (I had it even), so i guess he got wind of it. of course the show was being promoted by Welliver so.... NZ boxing is very frustrating sometimes.

Moyoyo kept getting his hand held by Chauncey and Moyoyo was trying to getaway . The tf deducted point off Moyoyo instead of Chauncey so he walked. It was a set up.

Its the worst show I've ever been to, all 3 of the other fights were farcical and finished in the first round. I remember it cost $30 and after I'd already paid Tui was taking the entrance money, she said I should of come to her as she would of let me in for nothing but I don't mind paying as 99.9% of the time the boxers deserve it. She spent the rest of the show trying to give me my 30 bucks back.
