Parker needs to fight the Hughie's, Bellew's, and Whyte's of the world and bide his time with AJ, keep improving, and then cash out next year, assuming AJ's beats all three.

So in other words Joshua fights all the difficult guys in tge division while parker cherry picks all the easy beats and waits for a cash out?

Parker and wilder needed to fight each other for a legitimate "champ" to come out of it. And i favoured parker to beat wilder.

This is dissapointing

Id love to see a Heavyweight bang him out but Im concerned that even Bellew gives Parker a rough night at this point

Lol my thoughts exactlyl
Same worry here although I think Bellew get cocky and JP KO him

Exactly. AJ and Wilder fight each other, and Klit, and Parker fights up and comers in the UK. Then, if Parker beats Hughie, Bellew, and maybe Whyte, he'll be ready to fight the elite. Ya' see, he's younger than the other guys, has more to learn, and is from NZ (I just threw that in there).

If parker is going to call himself a world champion then he needs to take big fights.

Hughie is perfectly acceptable but joe is already starting to get international heat, the americans are saying hes ducking wilder etc.

Fight hughie then try for a unification.

If no unification take a respected top 10 to show intent.

We need to have faith in joe i think he CAN beat anyone except klitschko or joshua

So wilder, pulev, ortiz all good fights id back joe in

He's gotta get rid of his mistakes, or Wilder will KO him. But what's the hurry? Hughie, Bellew, and then Wilder or AJ.

exactly take Bellew and Hughie in any order then Whyte- then look to unify.
There is another belt that Brown had floating around as well- target that ,2 belts to take to bargaining table.
makes a wilder or AJ fight a mega $$ fight- providing he wins all the above mentioned

Interesting that Parker hasn't gone back to the US. Would usually be back there by now wouldn't he?
Much needed break at home or new coach coming up? 99% it's a break but who knows?

Joseph Parker and Hughie Fury could fight in England in September

New Zealand's Joseph Parker could be fighting Hughie Fury in England later in the year.

Kiwi heavyweight Joseph Parker and Hughie Fury could be fighting in England in September.

The pair were meant to fight for Parker's World Boxing Organisation crown last month, but Englishman Fury pulled out citing a back injury.

Fury was replaced by Romanian Razvan Cojanu, who Parker beat in Auckland last month.

Hughie Fury was meant to fight Joseph Parker last month but pulled out with a back injury.

Now Duco Boss David Higgins told RadioLIVE's Sunday Sport an announcement will be made shortly about Parker and Fury getting in the ring together.

"The World Boxing Organisation has ordered we fight the mandatory challenger, which is Hughie Fury," Higgins said on RadioLive. "They had given us 30 days to negotiate terms with the Fury camp.

"The 30-day deadline did pass a few days ago, but myself and the Furys both agreed that we should request another week, so we went to the WBO asking for another week.

"I got a letter from the WBO president giving us another week, so with that in mind you can expect a worldwide announcement in the next fortnight."

Higgins was confident of Parker beating Fury and that it is a good fight for several reasons.

I'm glad to be fighting again next month & September. Your all in for a shock. @MTK_Manchester @HennessySports @frankwarren_tv @boxnationtv

"Beating a Fury sends Joseph's stock in the United Kingdom through the roof and sets up some mega fights with other British heavyweights. It is a sensible fight and one we are happy with, provided the contract has the right balance with it.

"If they agree to the terms we want then we will do it in Britain."

Fury's trainer Peter Fury told Boxing News a deal should be done on Monday and they are looking at fighting in the UK in September.

"Hughie is mandatory, so that's where it's at. Both camps are in agreement with everything so it should be signed by Monday."
