If Ruiz is thinking Parker is the same from 2014 when they last sparred...

To now...

The boy is now a man.

Ruiz will be facing someone quicker than he has faced, stronger than he has faced, and higher ranked than he has faced.

Parker by devastating KO in the 5th

Good find, NakiFan. I see this fight as easier than the Takam one. Possibly easier than Haumono. Ruiz comes forward, which is perfect for Joe's reach and speed. Still, he better remember his defense lest he gets hit with a heavy shot.

Problem is, if he wins it, I can see Parker defending in NZ against relative chumps for at least a year.

He still will be unknown in UK and USA

I hope you're not right, kiwi. Joe has talked about needing to go to the UK. And AJ has a belt that will bring huge $$$ to that soon-to-be new family of his. And KB said he wants to continue to challenge him. But in the short term, he'll probably fight Ruiz in December.

I'm honestly starting to belive even prime Ali couldn't beat our Joe.

Like I thought. Ruiz vs Parker may not happen:

Dean Lonergan reveals that Joseph Parker might not fight Andy Ruiz for WBO title

Dean Lonergan warns that Joseph Parker might not fight Andy Ruiz for a world title.

Promoter Dean Lonergan says Joseph Parker might not fight Andy Ruiz in New Zealand if the WBO title isn't on the line.

A December world title fight between Parker and Ruiz in New Zealand has been widely speculated after Tyson Fury vacated his WBO and WBA world titles to focus on his mental health.

Parker's camp said this week they aren't keen on suggestions of a four-man 'box-off' for the WBO belt.

And Lonergan insists a world title fight in New Zealand might not be on the cards - views echoed by American promoter Bob Arum - if the WBO continues to not follow its regulations.

"Bob Arum and I have the same views – that if the belts are not on the line, the fight is not going to happen," Lonergan told Radio Live.

"Why would we do that when we could take on a 6ft 6 guy in preparation for the winner of Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko, which would be guaranteed to happen in March.

"If we can't fight Ruiz this side of Christmas for the WBO title, there is no point of going for the title for either party.

"We want to have world title fight for the WBO title for the first ever time in New Zealand."

Lonergan said he was annoyed that the WBO are continuing to change their stance, with president Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel revealing they are considering a four-man box-off for the vacant title.

"One thing I will be saying is the rules are there for a reason. You invented them, so stick with them," Lonergan told Radio Live.

"There are consequences for those who don't follow the rules."

The WBO are muppets. I just hope that the IBF stick to their mandatory rules, wouldn't be surprised if Wlad was trying to get out of that part of the deal if he fights Joshua.

So if he doesn't fight Ruiz for the title, will he fight Price on the Joshua/Klit under card? I'd be happy with that
