Die it was David I was referring to and I agree with you he didn't have the finer instincts. Sad rally, a little one dimesional as is Jo at present.
Are you sure you haven't been looking at Jo's legs but just playing innocent.......?

that's a bit harsh sham..Tua converted a lot of non boxing people to boxing , NZ was an amateur country in terms of boxing and PPV , Tua changed that forever..Tua fans have become parkers fans..so who cares if David was one dimensional lol....the super 8 idea and the fight for life all came about when people started to pay attention to boxing..the idea of selling it to corporate greed..
David changed boxing in this country forever uce..

No I don't buy the Injury excuse either it's just a cover up for a poor performance. Lonergan knows Parkers stocks took a hit after the fight so he's scrambling trying to smooth everything over but it's all bullshit.

There was clearly nothing wrong with his elbow when he threw that 45 punch combination.
All boxers make excuses though

All boxers haver elbow troubles. hyper extension whilst hitting pads happens all the time, and it hurts real bad!!
If Jo say's his elbow's flared up prior to the fight, why would anyone think this didn't happen? However, I don' think Jo is blaming that on his performance. He was over-cooked and that was blatantly obvious. He struggled with Takam's ability to counter, and really didn't know what to do with his head other than pop it up and pull it right back. A fundamental flaw inexperienced fighters go through. And when I say inexperienced fighters, I'm referring to Jo at that level.
Long training camps aren't unfamiliar to most boxers, but its about finding a balance, and they are still trying find that with JP. He is now at a different level and training camps become a real focus leading up to fighting top 10 opponents.
Remember, training camps are a little bit more than just training in a gym, a lot has to be managed and diagnosed leading up to a top level fight like he is about see more of. Managing a fighters mental capacities is key to keeping him focussed and ready to go.
There's a fine line between being at your peak, and being overcooked!!
