That's it. I must admit he's done wonders with Parker, who I didn't rate at all in the amateurs. And Izu has certainly looked good. And he gets behind his fighters big time. He also cops a lot of crap for anything Parker does wrong, like his poor defense.
I went to the Tua/LL fight, and KB took a bunch of us to see Tua train in Vegas. He was really nice to us.

Yeah he gets an unfair amount of criticism.
Heavyweight elite trainers are rare, I don't think there is one now since Manny steward.
Potentially a spot to be filled

Hi Die....I had to pull out of the trip to watch David Tua fight.....in the end I watched it in a Samoan pump at Otara......was the trip worth it....did KB look after the group....is it possible KB spent too much time with the group instead of concentrating on David

I'm sure Duco must have offered Izu the same opponent that Junior Fa is set to fight. I'm glad he's left Duco and look forward to seeing him step up against some decent fighters

You'd have to think that either duco dont think Izu is worth the investment anymore or they arent going to be doing large promotions in nz after the Parker WBO title fight. Otherwise why wouldnt you want a world rated heasvyweight on the undercards?

Loved it! Went to Tua's training camp, the weigh-in, the fight. We were locked out of the press conference that we were promised, but no big deal. The fight, as you know was a dud. We sat next to a large contingent of UK fans rooting for LL. After 5 rounds, we were ALL so bored and frustrated that we said, "someone fight and knock out the other guy, we don't care who!" A great experience, and would love something similar if Parker fights AJ in London.
