There was a talksport interview with Chisora and they ask him about JP fight- he didn't deny but not wanting to make a call yet as he is IBF (I think ) No1 so waiting on the Uysk DDD fight as it sounds like he will only fight JP if JP has WBO and also for IBF.
Makes sense for both guys then
So that means JP STILL doesn't have a fight for September. Yes, Chisora is IBF. I looked at the rankings, and there are no good opponents for JP. The ones that are possible are already hooked up, or in the process of.

Might as well take it. I don't see anyone else stepping up to fight JP:

As this is so close to Usyk/DDD, three weeks away, looks like JP will wait it out and see what his opportunities are after the fight instead of scheduling a fight in September. If Usyk wins, and agrees to fight JP, it could happen end of year, or beginning of 2026. If DDD wins, a trilogy beckons.

yeah but whichever way it goes it is likely the WBO (who are 1st off the rank to be defended and JP is at top of queue) will be stripped almost immediately and either given to JP or he fights the nest cab which may be at this point Itauma.
Interesting times ahead for the belts - DDD only got his via strip, the AJ fight DDD was champ and AJ challenger ( even though it looked other way round). I can see Kabayel getting a belt as well which could open doors for some big fights again poss unification between JP and AK would be nice rather than Itauma who still hasn't done enough...Dillian Whyte pending

I hope you're right! Would love to see the alphabets open up after the Usyk/DDD fight rather than keeping everyone hostage until they finish up their fight(s). I'm sure if it opened up it would bring in the interim, regular, mandatory, etc. champs to fight for real belts. Here's hoping...

I still hold out hope that Usyk (once he defeats Dubois again) will then choose to defend against Parker. That would be the best scenario for Parker as the fight could happen towards the end of the year & he gets to fight the lineal champion. I'm not sure if Dubois fulfils the mandatory against Parker if he wins. So an upgrade or fight for the vacant belt would probably come into play. I just hope Parker doesn't go stale on the shelf. If he doesn't fight until early next year it'll be around another year of inactivity, with only 2 rounds of action since the Zhang fight. His team should have line up a keep busy for July to keep him match fit & on the same schedule as Usyk & Dubois.
