Interesting that Usyk agreed to fight DDD (he said so today) regardless of the JP/Bakole fight. How convenient of DDD to suddenly get sick so that he can fight a unification fight against Usyk. And, the article said Bakole would arrive in SA at 2AM the day of the fight.

Did this announcement happen before getting sick? If DDD is pulling a sickie to get away from Parker...hows his confidence?

Happened right after DDD said he was sick. Next thing, I think the same day, Usyk said DDD was next. Sounds suspicious to me! Have a look at the above article and see what you think???

So DDD could be legitimately sick.
Or he(or his team) wanted out of the Parker fight, to not risk the Usyk fight. Or Usyks team wanted them out of the Parker fight, to not risk unifying again. Two of those options are based on the potential for DDD to lose or be injured or otherwise waylaid vs Parker. I can see DDD ruminating about this.

Does WBO throw a spanner in those works? If Parker/Bakole winner becomes WBO mandatory, will WBO refuse to allow Usyk to face anyone else for unified?

I'm thinking that the IBF forces DDD to fight JP as originally stated before he pulled out sick. Don't think IBF wants a unification, but their own champ. At least in the short term.

Parker would have knocked out Dubois today .
On the bright side he's become the darling of Riyadh and is making hay while the sun shines $$. Hopefully he gets his title shot next up |
