4 pounds? JP used to weigh in the low to mid 240's. I'm thinking 10 pounds. I'm sure he's put in the work, and he looks strong. I imagine it's his eating.

Im sure it will be GOOD weight?
Not from sugar he has claimed to be eating clean.
Maybe supplements etc legal ones...

They must be going for the KO

Surely - given that weight

Press conference (from the past) at 5PM and the JP/JJ Training Day at 5:30 on SKY SPORT 50. Saw the earlier one as this is a repeat. JJ looks good training. Big boy. Saw him sparring with Takam. Takam said he just keeps coming. In saying that, Takam was able to back him up at times and hit him with that looping right. JJ looks good inside, so JP has to throw him combos at range and not get tied up.

Re JP's weight: JP's shoulders are as big as JJ's, and he's definitely put on some muscle. He also talked about trading with him in the Training Day video. In the video, Fury was with him most of the training. JP was hitting the pads hard with single shots. I think we'll see a new JP tomorrow. Just hope it works.

Tend to agree. Big risk - big reward

But if JP tires down the stretch and he's not put Joyce away, - could get bad

Yeah its down the track i worry, if he doesn't hurt JJ then the later rounds will be hell.
We haven't seen JJ have to dig deep though under pressure in his pro career yet...

RE: Parker vs Joyce Sept. 24th - diehard - 09-24-2022

JJ dug deep(ish) against DDD. I thought DDD was winning the fight, or at least it was close, when DDD took a knee and gave up due to a busted eye in the 10th. But yeah, JP needs to hurt him to slow his coming forward, and tire him in the later rounds. JJ has a big frame. JP will definitely hurt him if he does in the fight what he did in training. The question is whether it will be enough to halt his punches. BTW, in training and in sparring, JJ throws a good variety of punches to all parts of the body and head. It's speed with some power that beats JJ.

Parker is going for the KO

RE: Parker vs Joyce Sept. 24th - Kiwi - 09-24-2022

At least - that's the way it looks.

However, his trainer says he has been doing a lot of long sparring in case of a full 12 rounds

So hopefully he is prepared either way

Yep, it's the heaviest Parker has ever been. I just can't understand that when you need foot and hand speed to win this fight, you come in heavy.
