This article talks about JJ applying pressure.  I saw the Jennings and DDD fights.  He doesn't apply anymore pressure than anyone else.  At times both fighters were backing HIM up.

He's kind of "slow but remorseless" I guess.

Relies a lot on his chin - takes punishment - and just keeps coming

Overwhelms people with his size

RE: Parker vs Joyce Sept. 24th - diehard - 09-20-2022

But he doesn't.  Yes, he has size, but he fights mostly in the centre of the ring.  Yes, at times he backs guys up, but he's not relentless like a Tua or Tyson.  He doesn't stalk guys.  His "skill" is that he doesn't stop coming at you until you finally get ko'd or quit.  But when I say he comes at you, its not with pressure.  Even Hammer was getting to him.  Maybe his other skill is that he can absorb punishment.  Big deal.  Ok JP keep punishing him until he can't take it anymore.  Be the first guy to stop him!

Parker: This is My Arena - Fury, Chisora Twice and Joyce Will Be My Fourth Win There

Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker believes some of the local crowd will cheer him on when he steps in the ring with Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce.

Parker and Joyce will collide on Saturday night at Manchester's AO Arena.

The winner of the bout will move forward to a mandatory world title crack under the WBO.

Parker had three previous bouts in the Manchester venue - and won all three times. He's confident Joyce will be his fourth victory.

"That is my arena. Three wins, Hughie (Fury), Derek (Chisora) and Derek again, so I'm going to make it four," Parker told the PA news agency.

"I know the UK supporters have been very good to me, very welcoming so I feel this is another home for me. I do know when I fight one of their own, they always support their own but there will be some I have taken as my own and will be cheering for me. I am looking forward to putting on a great show."

Parker is very good friends with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury - and they share the same trainer in former middleweight champion Andy Lee.

"Tyson is at most training sessions, we go for runs and he's in the gym. He lets Andy (Lee) teach me, train me and come up with game plans but he adds his advice when and where he can. When he is in the gym, he brings this positive vibe and good energy so it is always good to have Tyson in the gym. In his own gym that I have now made my own," Parker said.

"It will be good to see (Fury vs Joshua). Tyson has retired multiple times and come back multiple times but I think he will be here a while in the boxing game. He still has a lot to give."

Comments:
I get the feeling Parker is being told how great he’s doing and possibly getting a false sense of security near Fury . I have really yet to see Parker handle a quality big man without some type of struggle and Joyce is another level to whatever he’s faced because he’s going to take a few just to land one to

Lookin forward to this fight, surprised to see almost everyone picking Parker i know Joyce technique looks like sht because it is haha but i still think he will break down parker with that relentless pressure and non stop jab

He said that before or after he wiped that Fury's thing off his mouth?

I can see this being a close one with opinions being split about who won.

That Chisora rematch was the best Parker has looked in years. That lead left hook & right uppercut were really effective punches that night. Chisora showed guts getting up multiple times but I was really impressed with Parker. If that aggressive Parker shows up I think Joyce’s lack of speed will play right into his
