I was cheering for Franklin (and I like Whyte) but Franklin had very good skills and chin
He countered everything Whyte did - out thought him and paced himself very well.
Hometown decision and that was expected - Eddie wins and moves on to AJ v Whyte 2 which means 2 cheques for Eddie
Franklin v AJ doesn't sell so Franklin was never getting the decision
AJ KO's this version of Whyte

Wardley surprised me- I thought Gorman had him for a second so fair play to Wardley for responding like he did. Gorman has good skills but doesn't need to be in with punchers like Wardley and DD
Couldn't agree more. I was rooting for Franklin too, he deserved it. I thought Franklin won too, but not in the UK. I really thought Whyte would come on in the end. AJ has been on the decline too, so AJ/Whyte is a pick'em fight.

Too early for JP/Wardley? Parker needs to stay in the UK where he has a good fan base.

The biggest fight out there right now is Fury/AJ or Fury/JJ.
Yeah too early Wardley would love JP on his record but a no win situation for JP . JP should target winner of AJ v Whyte but probably would be negotiable
I think JP is finished as far as fighting top fighters. No way AJ or Whyte fights him. Right now, JP is a gatekeeper for the up and coming fighters who are undefeated or looking for a title shot. Maybe Ruiz if he lost to Wilder, but is there any money in that?

Parker needs to start rebuilding his cred with some spectacular wins, even against up and comers.
Prograis KOs Zepeda, wins WBC 140lb title

By Miguel Maravilla at ringside

In a clash for the vacant WBC super lightweight title, Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (28-1, 24 KOs) scored an explosive eleventh round KO over Jose “Chon” Zepeda (35-3, 27 KOs) on Saturday night at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Progress took over in round two and finally blasted Zepeda to the canvas in round eleven to end it. Judges had Prograis ahead 98-92, 98-92 and 97-93 entering the eleventh.

Neither wasted no time Prograis and Zepeda landed the stiff jab later in the round, Zepeda connected with a solid left. Prograis stuck the jab as Zepeda countered to start the second, as the fight appeared to be a fast-paced chess match. Swinging wildly to begin the third, Prograis connected as Zepeda exchanged, the round got better with Prograis and Zepeda trading heavy leather. Jabbing away, Zepeda and Prograis retreated as both worked patiently off the jab but shortly after got into a heated exchange, Zepeda suffered a cut on his right eye.

Prograis attacked and targeted Zepeda’s cut in round five, later in the round Zepeda connected with a huge left hook to the liver and shortly after followed up with a big left hook upstairs. At the halfway point in the sixth, Prograis nose was busted as Zepeda boxed and popped the jab. Halfway through, in the seventh Prograis and Zepeda stuck the jab but neither shied away towards the end of the round letting their hands go. Working off the jab, Zepeda and Prograis appeared to be waiting to unload as they patiently waited for the right moment, in the final seconds of the round they unloaded.

On the offensive in the ninth, Prograis appeared poised and busy letting the jab go, popping Zepeda and following up with power shots as he backed and pinned up Zepeda but Zepeda did not hold back in closing the round. Late in the tenth, Prograis attacked and went right at a fading Zepeda but that did not keep Zepeda from fighting as he stood in and exchanged with Prograis drawing everyone in attendance to their feet. However, Prograis closed the show as he attacked and backed Zepeda to the ropes, chopping him down as referee Ray Corona stepped in to stop the fight at 59 seconds of the eleventh.

Prograis is now a two-time world champion.
It’s Double TRILOGY Week
This coming Saturday (December 3) brings not one, but TWO boxing trilogies.

The first trilogy matches WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs), returning from a brief retirement, against Derek Chisora (33-12, 23 KOs) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The Gypsy King, a 25:1 favorite, is looking to go 3-0 against Chisora, having previously defeated Del Boy in 2011 (W10) and 2014 (TKO10). ESPN+ will stream the fight in the U.S. The fight is PPV in the U.K.

The second trilogy matches Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada (43-3, 28 KOs) against Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez (51-3, 41 KOs) in a rubber match at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Chocolatito won the first fight by unanimous decision in 2012. Estrada won the second fight by split decision last year. Chocolatito is a 2:1 favorite to win the third fight.
