This is the WBC. The WBO will probably put him in the top 5.
None of those guys will fight Joseph now. I expect Fujimoto to be an option, get a KO and pick up the WBO Asia Pacific belt. Work his way back into a mandatory spot.
Parker v Miller on AJs next undercard - yes please

As Rahman used to say, "if it makes dollars, it makes cents."

And Joe wonders why strangers advise him to get a new trainer and manager..

Probably because every reason that you were supposed win turned out to be every
reason you lost! It has nothing to do with 'not throwing enough double jabs!' Every
punch you threw was short of the mark anyway.. a few more missed double jabs would
not have changed anything.

Give yourself credit Joe. You are an awesome athlete who has managed to snatch a
version of the Title.. You are not, however, an accomplished Boxer. You have a
lifetime of skills still to master.

Why don't you have a strategy for the jab? The most common punch in the game and
the punch that single handedly stole your world title. Why did every Joshua jab go
unpunished? You need to slip and punch simultaneously.. this is the grist of
Champions. You are fast enough to throw right hands over a long jab then,.. other
opportunities present. Don't wait your turn to punch! Don't telegraph.. launch
forward and punch simultaneously.. like you did all night against Fury and again
against Joshua. Boxers will simply move away or, meet you with a straight jab.

This small piece was spot on.

In this AJ breaks down all the Parker Camp claims and pledges to employ the very same skills to break Parker.  This article is poignant because that is exactly what happened.  Ultimately, TeamP managed to stir the beast by insulting his abilities thus motivating him, to box JP to pieces. Impressive! ..and I'm not referring to TeamP.

The TeamP pre-fight summary was that JP had the superior Jab, better footwork and more superior skills.  Add to that Joshua's mid/late round durability questions and his glass jaw.. it's no wonder the odds on JP moved in strongly days out from the fight.. AJ is just too mechanical..

It may be for your best interests Joseph that strangers question your company.  If Boxing is going to play a part in your life going forward then you need to implore KB to ship in specialist coaches who can skill you in footwork, ringcraftmanship and slipping/punching strategies.

Good Luck Joseph

Excellent comments V. Is it any news that neither Tua nor JP knew how to handle the jab and get inside against a taller opponent. KB is the common denominator.

KB wasn't training Tua for the vast majority of his career so that's irrelevant.

Parker definitely needs to improve in certain areas but I get a bit sick of hearing that JP should ditch KB and Duco. It's ironic because many here were bashing and mocking Duco relentlessly, claiming that Parker will go nowhere with them.
Duco made JP a multi millionaire. They took him to a world title fight in his own country. He won and defended that title twice with Duco and then lost to an bigger, stronger, far rangier undefeated fighter in a world heavyweight unification fight. Duco took JP to the biggest stage possible, and though he couldn't quite deliver, showed the world how much of a classy guy he is in and out of the ring.

Joe is only 26, it's his first loss. Let's just see how he comes off the rebound instead of declaring that all hope is lost unless he moves from KB and Duco. World class trainers aren't magically born, they are made, through a lot of learning and a lot of experience. I'm sure Kevin Barry is himself improving as a coach, just as much as Joe is improving as a fighter. You won't find a trainer more dedicated to Joe than Barry. The last thing I'd want to see is Joe leave KB and hopelessly move from coach to coach like we see so many fighters do after each loss.
Msreef great comments
Hopefully KB will be open minded to allowing specialised coaching from experts in certain areas- such as footwork - movement etc
My worry is JP suffering loses while rebuilding to journeyman if certain areas don't improve
Do have to say that Mr Higgins took Joe to a belt. And a massive payday with AJ. Well done. KB is my problem. Love him as a manager, just not as a trainer.
