Even with the cancellation of the Paul-Rahman PPV, there is still a huge week of great boxing action awaiting us.

THURSDAY
Hollywood Fight Night is back on UFC Fightpass. Super welterweight Callum Walsh (3-0, 3 KOs) again headlines, going for his fourth first round KO in as many bouts at the Quiet Cannon Ballroom in Montebello, California.

FRIDAY
It’s the semi-finals of the innovative “Last Chance” Tournament on ProBox TV. Michael Dutchover (16-2, 10 KOs) meets Antonio Moran (27-5-1, 19 KOs) and fan favorite Kendo Castaneda (18-5, 9 KOs) faces Joseph Fernandez (15-4-3, 5 KOs) at the ProBox Events Center in Plant City, Florida. Both fights are scheduled for 10 rounds in the 140-pound division. .

SATURDAY
ESPN+ has the featherweight clash between Michael Conlan (16-1, 8 KOs) and Miguel Marriaga (30-5, 28 KOs) from the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Conlan returns from his 12th round KO loss to Leigh Wood against a tough customer in three-time world title challenger Marriaga.

DAZN counters with a super welterweight battle between unbeaten Dalton Smith (11-0, 9 KOs) and Sam O’maison (17-3-1, 7 KOs) for the British title at Utilita Arena in Sheffield, England.

DAZN then returns later that night from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, with welterweight Vergil Ortiz Jr. (18-0, 18 KOs) against Michael McKinson (22-0, 2 KOs) plus maybe even a more interesting welter clash between former world champion Mo Hooker (27-2-3, 18 KOs) will face Blair “The Flair” Cobbs (15-1-1, 10 KOs).

Fight Week

“The Takeover” Teofimo Lopez is back in this weekend’s big fight.

FRIDAY
It’s finally happening! The twice postponed PPV lightweight showdown between former world champions Mickey Bey (23-3-1, 11 KOs) and Tevin Farmer (30-5-1, 6 KOs) take place at the Findlay Toyota Center, in Prescott Valley, Arizona. BTW, the PPV price is $29.99.

SATURDAY
ESPN will present Teofimo Lopez (16-1, 12 KOs), the former unified lightweight champion, making his junior welterweight debut against Pedro Campa (34-1-1, 23 KOs) at the Resorts World Event Center at Resorts World Las Vegas.

The same night, subscribers to the $4.99/mo Fite+ service get lightweight Wesley “El Bongocero” Ferrer (16-1-1, 8 KOs) against division gatekeeper Jayson “La Maravilla” Velez (30-8-1, 21 KOs) in an NBA title fight from The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida.

Fight Week

Huge weekend on tap with no less than three major fight cards taking place on what is certainly a Super Boxing Saturday.

The big one is the DAZN-streamed rematch between WBA/IBF/WBO unified heavyweight champion Oleksander Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) in Saudi Arabia. The event airs on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK. The undercard includes an IBF heavyweight eliminator between Filip Hrgović (14-0, 12 KOs) and Zhang “Big Bang” Zhilei (24-0-1, 19 KOs) plus a WBC light heavyweight eliminator between Callum Smith (28-1, 20 KOs) and Mathieu Bauderlique (21-1, 12 KOs)

Showtime presents a loaded show topped by former four-division world champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) against former WBC lightweight champion Omar “Panterita” Figueroa (28-2-1, 19 KOs) from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Also on tap are 140-pounders Alberto Puello (20-0, 10 KOs) and Batyr Akhmedov (9-1, 8 KOs) squaring off for the vacant WBA super lightweight title, plus WBA super featherweight champion Roger Gutierrez (26-3-1, 20 KOs) defending against unbeaten Hector Garcia (15-0, 10 KOs).

ESPN has WBO featherweight champion Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete (35-1, 29 KOs) against Eduardo Baez (21-2-2, 7 KOs) at the Pechanga Arena (formerly known as the San Diego Sports Arena) in San Diego, California.

Fight Week

After a crazy busy Saturday last weekend, we have only one main boxing event on the docket this Saturday. It’s a good one.

ESPN/ESPN+ presents a stacked card headlined by two former world champions as Jose “Sniper” Pedraza (29-4, 14 KOs) battles Richard “RC” Commey (30-4, 27 KOs) in a 10-round junior welterweight clash at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The card also features a ton of heavyweight action. The ten round co-feature has undefeated Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson (11-0, 11 KOs) returning against Miljan Rovcanin (24-2, 16 KOs). In addition, Efe Ajagba (15-1, 12 KOs) and Trey Lippe Morrison (18-1, 17 KOs) will see action in separate bouts.

Some other streams may pop up, including a Murat Gassiev fight on Friday, so we’ll keep you posted.

Huge Labor Day Weekend for boxing on tap with big events on both Saturday and Sunday. Let’s get to it…

WEDNESDAY
WBC strawweight champion Nakhon Ratchasima (38-1, 23 KOs) defends against late sub Norihito Tanaka (20-8, 10 KOs) in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. A live stream will likely be available.

SATURDAY
DAZN presents WBC franchise super flyweight champion Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada (42-3, 28 KOs) defending against Argi Cortés (23-2, 10 KOs) at the Centro de Usos Múltiples in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

The undercard features a rematch between WBA female featherweight champion Erika Cruz (14-1, 3 KOs) and Jelena Mrdjenovich (41-11-2, 19 KOs), a clash for the vacant IBF light flyweight title between Hector Flores (20-0-4, 10 KOs) and Sivenathi Nontshinga (10-0, 9 KOs), and super featherweight terror Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez (32-1, 29 KOs) against unbeaten Jorge Mata (14-0-2, 10 KOs).

FITE has a $19.99 PPV topped by “Prince” Albert Bell (21-0, 6 KOs) against Nicolas Polanco (20-2-1, 11 KOs) from the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Also, Sky Sports in the UK has a card headlined by former WBO champion Liam ‘Beefy’ Smith (31-3-1, 18 KOs) against Hassan Mwakinyo (20-2, 14 KOs) from the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England. It’s possible some US outlet could pick up that feed. Stay tuned.

SUNDAY
FOX has a $74.99 PPV featuring heavyweight contenders former unified champion Andy “The Destroyer” Ruiz Jr. (34-2, 22 KOs) and longtime contender Luis “King Kong” Ortiz (33-2, 28 KOs) from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

In the co-feature, lightweights Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz (23-2-1, 16 KOs) and Eduardo Ramírez (27-2-3, 12 KOs) collide in a 12-round WBC eliminator. Also, three-division champion Abner Mares (31-3-1, 15 KOs) in his first action in three years as he battles former title challenger Miguel Flores (24-4, 12 KOs) in a 10-round super featherweight attraction, plus unbeaten lightweight José Valenzuela (12-0, 8 KOs) duels former world champion Jezreel Corrales (26-4, 10 KOs) in the 10-round opener.

There will also be not one, but two boxing telecasts leading into the PPV.

FS1 will air a bout between undefeated super bantamweight contender Ra’eese Aleem (19-0, 12 KOs) against Mike Plania (26-1, 13 KOs) in a 10-rounder.

Then the FOX network will air a ten-rounder between unbeaten super welterweights Joey Spencer (15-0, 10 KOs) and Kevin Salgado (14-0-1, 9 KOs).

Note: In a non-televised eight-rounder, former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin faces former Olympian Devin Vargas.

FIGHT WEEK

Another very busy boxing week ahead with loads of interesting fights.

THURSDAY
DAZN travels to the Ciudad Deportiva Heiner Ugalde in Hatillo, San José, Costa Rica for the female minimumweight title unification clash between IBF champion Yokasta “Yoka” Valle (25-2, 9 KOs) and WBO champion Thi Thu Nhi Nguyen (5-0, 1 KO).

FRIDAY
Showtime has a ShoBox show headlined by super lightweight Joseph “Blessed Hands” Adorno (16-1-2, 14 KOs) against unbeaten Hugo Alberto Roldan (21-0-1, 7 KOs) from Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino’s Grand Ballroom.

ProBox TV presents the return of undefeated cruiserweight Brandon “Bulletproof” Glanton (16-0, 13 KOs) against Mario “El Ruso” Aguilar (22-7, 18 KOs) for the WBO global title at the ProBox Events Center in Plant City, Florida.

ESPN+ has picked up the EOTTM event from the Montreal Casino in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, headlined by unbeaten WBC #3 super middleweight Christian Mbilli (21-0, 19 KOs) against DeAndre Ware (15-3-2, 9 KOs). Heavyweight Simon Kean (21-1, 20 KOs) takes on Newfel Ouatah (18-4, 10 KOs) in the co-feature.

DAZN returns with two consecutive boxing events from the CAA Centre in the Brampton suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In the main event, unbeaten super welterweight Josh “The Boss” Wagner (12-0, 6 KOs) meets Jorge Sanchez (13-2, 5 KOs).

SATURDAY
ESPN+ will present an all-female card from the O2 Arena in London. The main event is the grudge match between GWOAT Claressa Shields (12-0, 2 KOs) and “Silent Assassin” Savannah Marshall (12-0, 10 KOs) for the undisputed female middleweight championship. In a WBC/IBF/WBO super featherweight title unification co-feature, Mikaela Mayer (17-0, 5 KOs) meets Alycia Baumgardner (12-1, 7 KOs).

DAZN will show the second of two consecutive nights of boxing from Brampton, Canada, with unbeaten middleweight Sukhdeep Singh Bhatti (12-0, 5 KOs) faces Xhuljo Vrenozi (18-4, 3 KOs) in Brampton, Canada. Former Jaime Munguia opponent Brandon Cook (22-1, 15 KOs) will take on Stepan Horvath (21-6, 11 KOs).

FITE has a $39.99 celebrity boxing PPV from the Banc of California Stadium in Downtown Los Angeles, headlined by a YouTuber grudge match between former Jake Paul opponent AnEsonGib and Austin McBroom. Other fights are former Los Angeles Laker Nick ‘Swaggy P’ Young against hip-hopper BlueFace, and a clash between former NFL running backs Le’Veon Bell and Adrian Peterson. There will be some up-and-coming legit boxers on the undercard.

Lol that was what I was trying to post.makes sense I suppose alot going on in UK at the minute and the significance of these fights would be lost
