Junior Fa
Good motto to live by, Sham. After two heart attacks, believe me, every day, every breath is a bonus. And I'm a young man!

Jr is just not that good Sham, and I'm afraid he would lose the fight against a high profile fighter, and also lose heaps of $$$'s. As Mr Higgins says, Jr will be making good money. I believe Mark has him at $500,000 plus part of PPV. Not bad.

When I say Jr is not that good, I'm not knocking him. I think his health, his issues with his son's health, and not getting his weight right contribute to keeping him at his peak. I'm hoping he can put it all together for Parker. We just haven't seen the best of Jr. Yet.

Good to see you back, Sham.

I too feel Parker will be way too good for Fa.

But if he can get his health and fitness to peak, he does have a puncher's chance....

Cheers Kiwi, good to see you're still here. Nice to see straight up comments and always expect from diehard.
Jnr might surprise I hope so.

I also believe Fa has only a punchers chance as he hasn't been exposed to this level or anywhere near it. But hey take the fight and the $ and use it as a learner.
Biggest payday by Fa ....
And if he puts in a good performance it will set up future fights
Look at Shawndell - was knocked out by JP but did ok until then so earned a fight in Eddies garden for some more coin.

cheers for the support Sham. we are working away. Ill give the full details of what we did after the fight as long as higgens agrees to last few parts of the deal. we have a plan and we like it. but yes it a year or 2 too early as we sort juniors condition. But we don't know whether the money will return tp the heavy weight division for a. few years. already we are seeing it diminish. We got offered more than this for povetkin but only 4-5 week notice. with 10 we would have taken. It a bit complex the money as the that's the total package and its buying out dibbles tv rights for the fight so not as good as what's reported. again look forward to telling you the whole negotiation after the fight and how we played it .

Junior won in a good match up but was physically stronger and more experienced. They met again a few months later for a rematch at the ABA, this time Joseph won by a large margin of 12 points (the old scoring system). As a "neutral" boxing coach I thought it was a very close bout and could of gone Juniors way. Funnily enough both the boys coaches, at the time, are very good friends and we have discussed this bout a few times. I believe that they met once outside NZ where Junior fought for Tonga and Joseph fought for NZ. Junior won with AIBA and not our local judges. I don't recall them fighting each other at any other time as Junior competed in the WSB for a few seasons with mixed results

Hi Mark, thanks for responding to what I had written, haven't been on here for awhile and only back again because of Jnr. I wish him all the very best and hope that with skillful management from you and the team to get it on that he can get the job done. In a way I feel so much involved with Jnr and don't really know why..I am definitely in his corner.

Yeah can't see Fa troubling Parker at all to tell you the truth, sorry markk. I'd happily be proven wrong as I have no dog in the fight and always support fighters from our part of the world, but at this stage, Parker is leagues above Fa. Good luck to Junior though, wish him all the best.

Great payday for Fa, though.

And who knows? One punch is all it takes....
