Jesus. That scorecard was SO goddamned wrong.

Was that Nagy fight on this card too?! Oh damn, this is getting worse.

Saunders could jab his head off all night long, win every round but no way he gets the decision. There's some dreadful officiating.

Yeah, that was Nagy faking a rabbit punch. Pitiful.

Just finished the Soto/Taka fight. Taka would hit him 5-1 but nothing on his punches compared to Soto. They stopped the fight in the 9th when Soto hit him 10 unanswered punches, but Taka wasn't hurt. After the fight, Taka shadow boxed in the ring at breakneck speed. Pretty funny.

Soto stops Takayama, retains WBO 108lb title

By Jeff Zimmerman at ringside

WBO light flyweight champion Elwin Soto (19-1, 13 KOs) scored a controversial ninth round stoppage over nearly 38-year-old former five-time minimumweight champion Katsunari Takayama (32-9, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Takayama walked through fire in the early rounds and kept fighting hard. He was still very much in the fight when the fight was prematurely stopped by referee Lawrence Cole in round nine. Takayama put on a shadowboxing exhibition in the ring afterward to prove he was still OK. Time was 2:44.

A drug cheat against one of the most unlikeable characters in boxing, I'm looking forward to it.

Canelo stops Saunders in eight

By Jeff Zimmerman at ringside

WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs) scored an eighth round TKO over WBO super middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (30-1, 14 KOs) in front of 73,126 fans on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Canelo pressed the action and landed almost all the heavy shots. Saunders might have edged some close rounds. Canelo had a big round eight and Saunders stayed on his stool after the round. Saunders’ right eye was swelling shut. Canelo now holds the WBA, WBC, and WBO belts. He’s one belt from undisputed.

Official scores were 78-74, 77-75, 78-74, all for Canelo.
