Yeah JP would be in same position he is now with Fa - if he wins its v a no name or a has been.... everything to lose bugger all to gain .The gain is he stays active but gains only come by defeating those ranked higher.

Look Im not against JP v Del - on paper its a entertaining fight , a public pleasing fight. But the potential rewards for JP are limited but for Del potentially huge as in more $$ fights to close out his career. No wonder Del calling for it. If it happens JP needs a good KO victory and nothing less

Well, the good news if he fights Chisora is that Usyk had little trouble with him after surviving the initial onslaught. I think Parker can pick him apart, and has more power than Usyk. And like you say, the $$$ is there. I just think there are better fights out there. Maybe the Whyte/Povetkin winner, as Hearn could make that happen.

Yep - Winner of Whyte-Povetkin would be good
But if not, then there is a reason why they went after Chisora a year ago.
Brings Parker back in the frame

Reason for Chisora is he is a crowd fav so generates $$
Win win for Eddie
Will prob need a crowd though, Del doesn't travel well so won't fight JP down under which is a shame as could fill a stadium here

What Parker needs more than anything is some international attention - to show that he's "back"
The Chisora fight helps a lot in that regard

Yeah Blowing Del out in under 7 rounds would make a statement, any boring plodding win ,lose or draw would be detrimental

Parker: I’m ready to go Feb 27
FacebookTwitterReddit
By Ray Wheatley – World of Boxing
Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (27-2, 21 KOs) is confident of victory against WBO#6 Junior Fa (19-0, 10 KOs) when they clash on February 27 at Sparks Arena, Auckland, New Zealand.
“We’d been working really hard to ensure I peaked in December and delivered a performance that would have made the heavyweight division sit up and take notice,” Parker said . “So it was very disappointing when Junior had to postpone. But these things happen in boxing. The good thing is that Junior is now on track to be 100 percent fit and ready to go in February. I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
