thanks die. Im biased but I agree. we should have held the centre a couple of times a round. we thought is was very close. Junior did an amazing job to recover and bring the best out of him self, we couldn't train hard until 2 weeks out from fight. but we were fresh and fast. we hope we can do that again.

it was a strategy. as we didn't have the fuel in the tank for everything to be perfect. . that's just a reality we had in our camp due to oxygen levels

Probably the best I've seen Fa fight since he beat Makhmudov in the amateurs tbh. He executed his plan with his team to perfection I thought despite it being a spoiler type gamelan but it did work tbh. I had it a draw watching live but I'll have to watch it again. He certainly suits not having to force the pace like he has had to do his whole pro career so far.

Good luck in whatever direction Fa goes in from here.

Hey markk, while I gotcha on here, did Parker hurt or buzz Jr at any phase of the fight? Did Jr believe he hurt Fa at all?

On another note, Parker has a way of ducking his head when he comes forward throwing his one, two. I felt that could have been countered with an uppercut or coming over the top with a right. Jr did catch him with some rights, but not coming in. Your thoughts, please? And thanks for coming on here!

Yeah Die I said to a mate about JP surely was susceptible to a damaging uppercut coming in so often throwing while looking at his shoes.
It looks very dangerous and amateurish.

Yeah, he's been doing that move his whole career, certainly for the last few years. And yes, he looks at his shoes when he does it, when he's not closing his eyes. And he's not so fast or clever with his footwork that he couldn't be timed, especially if you worked on it in training with a sparring partner.

on the body shots I can say that Hemi Ahio punches harder than Joe and we had conditioned juniors body brilliantly. he basically can't be hurt there. from juniors perspective he hardly got hit in fight as most shots were on gloves and arms. he wasn't hurt at any stage. We didn't want the clinching as we wanted to fight on the out side with reach and speed (we were confident junior would be faster as we trained a different way for this. I believe he was).  the clinching was heaps as Joe wanted to Coe in and we wanted to reset to the outside. it was a game of chess in that regards. if we had dominated the centre a couple of times and come forward I feel we would have go the win. we believe junior rocked Joe with a very clean shot in 1st round at the end. we saw his legs buckle a bit. KB was very complimentary in press conference to junior which is new and we appreciated. we look forward to being even healthier and going again in 5 month. we would like to fight Joe again as I think we saw the potential in him on Saturday we always knew was there. uppercuts are risk reward shots and we could have always thrown some and done more. I think junior surprised him self with what was left in the tank at end which was a real concern for us only getting right 2 weeks out from fight. so training was minimal for 10 of jan through to 10th of feb.

Great to hear your side of things, Mark. Insightful stuff.

I too noticed that Junior looked really great when he threw combinations in flurries. If he could do that more, it would be huge for his career.
