It's a good read, when he was briefly on Pat Barrett's bill in Manchester, England I wrote to Craig Thomson, funnily enough within a few days he was off the card.

After Gunnar Jackson fight fell through Andrei Mikhailovich is now fighting Omar Ahmed who on debut on Shane Cameron's card. Anyone know anything about him? There is a muay thai/kick boxer with that name that looks about the right weight but looks like he's based in the US? or was at least?

Look like he's from down south and is trained by Tom Heads.
We are stoked to announce Omar Ismail is taking on Andrei Mikhailovich this Friday at the Counterpunch Fight Night! . After Andrei’s first opponent dropped out we had to search high and low to find a new one. Big ups to Omar and his trainer Tom Heads – all the way from Brawlers Inc in Invercargill for stepping up and taking the fight. It’s going to be a great night of boxing!

Feel the same way mate. I don't remember seeing him at any nationals at amateurs or anything like that but sometimes I only skim results so guess I could have missed it. Not many good fights on Shane's cards so far they are usually one sided fights
