Heavyweight. Champion: Tyson Fury.
It was reported that in August of 2021, the WBC Board of Governors had ruled that the winner of the October 9, 2021, fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder would have 30 days from that date to secure a contract to unify the heavyweight division against WBO-IBF-WBA champion Oleksandr Usyk to crown an undisputed champion in the division. If no unification bout was secured within that time, the WBC would then (1) name WBC Interim World Champion Dillian Whyte as the division’s mandatory challenger; and (2) order the start of the free negotiations period for Champion’s Fury mandatory defense of his title against Whyte. Dillian Whyte filed a grievance under the WBC Rules & Regulations against the WBC, which is now in arbitration before the Court of Arbitration for Sport ( CAS ). In light of the pending arbitration, the WBC is not making any pronouncement at this time and will provide information once appropriate.

Good way to shut Whyte up...makes no difference to Fury though
Tyson doesn't like Whyte and won't do him any favours.

Bart, how will that shut Whyte up? By Fury fighting him? Then Whyte/Hearn would get what they wanted. Whyte has a long wait if AJ takes step aside money for the Fury/Usyk money, and then AJ fights the winner. Plus rematch clauses.

I meant that ruling from WBC, really they are likely punishing Whyte as he has Arbitration on them. Gives Tyson a chance to neg with Usyk who in turn has no power to neg as he is locked into a rematch clause with AJ...so AJ holds power to whether Whyte can get his shot.... sooo who does Eddie want to fight for the belt??
Actually Eddie has few decisions to make - bargain on AJ beating Usyk then Fury......not likely Ideal would be Whtye mandatory so no rematch clause sparking Fury - then he promotes Whyte v AJ 2 in a packed UK stadium.. there is many ways this scenario could go- all worth PPV $

Too confusing for me. How about both Whyte and AJ take step aside money, pay off the WBC, the Fury/Usyk winner faces AJ, and that winner faces Whyte. In two years time! It's a mess.

Hunter-Forrest added to Night of Heavyweights
Triller announced today that WBA #2 ranked heavyweight Michael ‘The Bounty’ Hunter II, (20-1-1, 14 KOs) has been added to Thursday’s ‘Night of Heavyweights’ stream against heavy-handed southpaw Jerry ‘Slugger’ Forrest, (26-4-1, 20 KOs). Hunter-Forrest is the new ten-round main event at the TrillerVerz IV professional boxing card at The Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The ten-rounder replaces Andrey Fedesov vs. Junior Wright after Fedesov suffered a training injury. Also featured on ‘Night of Heavyweights’ are not one, but TWO ten round clashes between undefeated heavyweights. Trey Lippe-Morrison, (18-0, 17 KOs) collides with Mike Balogun, (17-0, 13 KOs) and Cassius ‘C.O.G.’Chaney, (21-0, 14 KOs) takes on ‘Gentleman’ George Arias, (16-0, 7 KOs).
