Heavyweight Division
Nice explanation by a boxing fan:

Geeeez, you do realize this is "professional boxing" right? Let me explain to you how that works. You get paid based on how many people buy expensive tickets to come see you and your opponent fight. And by how many people watch you fight on TV. Understand? It doesn't matter if you have a "solid boxing background" or if you would "definitely give Fury or Wilder a challenge". No one cares at all about that. Dana White just got done explaining it to Jon Jones. He told Jones "you are the GOAT in MMA but that doesn't you get $30 million to fight because your last 3 fights didn't produce the numbers". Nobody wants to see Pulev fight. Or should i say, not ENOUGH people want to see Pulev fight. The only draw in an AJ vs. Pulev fight is Anthony Joshua. Just like the only draw in the Klitschko vs Pulev fight was.........that's right, Klitschko. You see how this works now? Your job as a "professional" fighter is to make the most money you can. AJ would make more money if he fought Mike Tyson than if he fought Pulev. The fact that Pulev may be a good fighter is even more reason NOT to fight him unless there is alot of money involved. ALOT. Otherwise, fighting him is what you call.... Stupid. Pulev had his chance against Klitschko and did absolutely nothing with it. Nothing. And now i am suppose to shell out my money to give him a second chance? Wrong. Give me AJ vs. Mike Tyson and i might get out the credit card. Give me AJ vs. Pulev and i will take a nap.

I like that common sense approach to the business of boxing but it ignores the fact Pulev is AJ's mandatory so by not fighting him, AJ risks being stripped of a world title belt and with it, some of his commercial value.

I think he ought to be stripped if he doesn't fight Pulev.  If they can't come to an agreement, then it goes to bid, like it normally does.  Makes a mockery of the mandatory if it isn't enforced.  Speaking of, is Usyk a mandatory also?  Whyte?

Pulev fight has to happen you would think. If not stripped.
Usyk is WBO mandatory so is then next cab...
I don't think AJ would want to fight them both before winner Fury- Wilder 3 (if that happens, if not Fury), that will take 2 years!
Deals will be done and maybe a belt dropped.

You'd think that after being in lockdown for so long, AJ would WANT to get outta the house and get in a boxing ring. He could easily fight one in August, another in Nov., Dec. Hearn has even offered his house, as it's about the PPV, not the gate. I don't think AJ would have much trouble with either one of them. Against Pulev, too talented. Usyk, too big.

WBA/IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua showed up hobbling on crutches during a demonstration in his hometown Watford, England. AJ recently injured his knee in training. He is still expected to be fit to defend his belts against Kubrat Pulev later this year.

AJ/Fury on two fight deal.  You read it here first!  Well, second, after Eastside.
