Two-time world title challenger and WBC #1 Jason “Mayhem” Moloney (25-2, 19 KOs) scored a twelve round unanimous decision over WBC #2 Nawaphon Kaikanha (56-2-1, 46 KOs) in a WBC bantamweight final eliminator which served as the Haney-Kambosos co-feature on Saturday night (Sunday afternoon local time) at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. The aggressive Kaikanha pressed the action and gave Moloney all he could handle. Hometown hero Moloney refused to trade and used a stick and move strategy to earn a 118-110, 118-110, 119-109.

Former world champion and WBO #4, WBC #5, WBA #6, IBF #9 super flyweight Andrew Moloney (24-2, 19 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over WBO #2, WBC #3, WBA #9 Norbelto “Meneito” Jimenez (31-9-6, 16 KOs) in a clash for the vacant WBO International title. Moloney dropped Jimenez with a jab in round one, plus Jimenez was deducted a point for hitting on the break. Moloney was credited with a dubious knockdown in round two. Moloney went on to win 97-90, 98-88, 98-89.

IBF female junior featherweight Cherneka Johnson (15-1, 6 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision against 43-year-old former two-time world champion Susie “Q” Ramadan (29-4, 12 KOs). Scores were 97-90, 96-92, 96-91.

In an upset, heavyweight Faiga Opelu 15-3-1, 11 KOs) got a fourth round referee’s stoppage of previously unbeaten Hemi Ahio (19-1, 14 KOs).

Cruiserweight David Nyika (5-0, 4 KOs) scored a second round knockout win over previously unbeaten Titi Motusaga (4-1, 3 KOs).
