The judges had it the same. I didn't do the scoring, but watched the fight again, and 8 rounds to 4 is about right. I honestly thought Fury would go for the KO early, with the extra weight and his only real chance before Usyk got into his rhythm.

I feel Fury just couldn't get a read on Usyk so while throwing his shots was also concerned what could come back....haunted by round 9.
This is the first opponent Fury has faced who is a better boxer than him...Fury excels diffusing big punchers with limited ring craft - Wlad looked unmotivated v Fury but some of that was Furys awkward style but I always felt Wlad would have responded if the rematch took place.
Alot (including Lennox) have said Fury needed to attack more and be more aggressive but I think they underestimate Usyks skills - if you do that you need to be a cardio freak as he will tire you then time you. Also he doesn't stay still so throwing and missing drains the tank incredibly fast.

Bottom line: Fury was afraid he'd get countered and KO'ed or run out of gas. So he took the safe option. Telling himself that he almost won last time, so let's do it the same again. But why the extra weight? Just box him, avoid Round 9, and he wins, according to Fury.
