Parker vs Fa

Not really ideal that two out of NZ's three top heavyweights don't want to fight each other because they're friends. Hardly a massive pool as it is, especially in these times.

Not a massive pool, but two guys in the top 10, and Hemi knocking on the door? Not bad. My issue is that when they fight each other, the loser usually loses their ranking, or goes down a few notches.

Not to give too much away, but markk, can we say that Hemi is at least competitive in sparring with Fa?

different style but Hemi is an exceptionally heavy hitter. Malik Scott will telll you this. We are trying to get a big fight for hemi in UK and USA . will be a test but he is ready

Be good to see Hemi step up in class

Seems to me that Hemi needs to have a big step-up year where he fights some "names"

Otherwise time is running out.

Also - I note that Hearn is lining up the winner of Joyce-Dubois for a shot against Usyk for the WBO

Which should alarm Parker no end

Yep, and Hearn is Parker's promoter.

Let's be honest, if he won't fight Junior and Parker won't fight him then Hemi has to fight abroad. It'll be great to see him in England though, plenty good tough fights here for him.

Is Parker better off with DUCO as promoter, rather than Hearn?

Could be.

And they need to make a big decision on that sooner rather than later

i suppose the issue with Eddie is he has several HW's he has to be seen to be working in their best interests.
AJ and Dillian are 1 and 2
Then Chisora and Parker under them.
How much clout does Duco have internationally?
Maybe switch to Bob Arum (they have history) and go the USA route?
Eddie owes JP 1 more fight and it was supposed to be a biggy- WBO belt v Usyk was the goal but either Dubios or JJ seems to be favored and neither are matchrrom.
A real pity the Fa fight has been postponed- a big KO win for JP v a poor fight between DD and JJ may have helped his cause...little chance now
