Fight is on Sept 16, roughly six weeks after Berridge is due to fight Adrian Taihia on 28th of October.
He is also down to fight debutant Ben Vui on the 13th of this month... surely that is in doubt because of his eye???

This is more like it, these are the kind of matchups that should be taking place. Big ask for Rapira, but he should relish the step up. Butcher stoppage in about 6 for me after being behind on the scorecards.

Here's a good interview from maori tv with the butchers next opponent Sam Rapira, I didn't realise he had a win in the amateurs over former Olympic and world bronze medalist Vajinder Singh. https://www.maoritelevision.com/news/sport/online-extra--rapira-confident-he-can-beat-berridge

Should read Rapira of course. He has the coach with the fight experience, could prove a point.

Adrian Taihia next, has Taihia got a chance? Coming off a loss to Sefo Falekaono a relative novice, although he's much better than his pro experience and record suggest plus he was very unlucky against Berridge in only his second pro outing. Since being released Taihia has been relatively inactive and this I think will go against him. I just can't see an upset here, thoughts?
