Hughie will be lucky to reach Rnd 5.
What if Parker struggles to land on Hughie? He apparently has a good chin.
I think he will struggle against Hughie. If Parker doesn't bring his A game, it'll be like Ruiz or Takam, albeit a very different stylistic fight.

Surely you don't resent KB for being more renowned than you - do you Sham?
Surely its not ENVY that's driving your negativity??
Is it ??

I think JP has reached his limit with KB too.

Parker has had two recent fights, Takam and Ruiz, where his training camp and boxing skills left a lot to be desired. KB needed to have a short camp for Takam, and for Joe to circle and box Ruiz while getting off in the earlier rounds. Duco let over 50 people (sponsors) in his changing room prior to the biggest fight in his life. Sure, it was Duco, but KB could have stopped that.
I do think that Parker owes a lot to KB for getting him this far, but it's time for Parker to move on.

If he were to lose to Fury I would agree with you.
But you don't change a winning combination - especially one that has taken a raw young boxer to a title in just a few short years.
If Parker really looks lousy and loses to tall fighters like Hughie, then by all means the hard questions must be asked.

So Kiwi, do you think Joe's fight with Hughie is the defining fight for the Parker/KB partnership? If he wins, but struggles with the basics like he did with Takam or Ruiz, would you make a change?

He should put Hughie away. May be elusive but Parker must catch him.
KB's whole line has been that Parker is better with tall opponents. I do believe this myself.
But if not, Parker can never rise further. Hughie will show us if it is true.
