Crawford TKOs Spence; now undisputed welter champ
In a highly anticipated super fight for the undisputed welterweight world championship, WBO champ Terence “Bud Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) claimed the titles of WBC/WBA/IBF champ Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr (28-1, 22 KOs) by ninth round TKO on Saturday night at the sold out T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Crawford dropped Spence with a power jab at the end of round two. Spence came out aggressively in round three but Crawford landed the best punch in the round. Crawford had a big round four, repeatedly landing hard shots. Spence was checked by the ring doctor after the round. Crawford continued the beatdown in round five. Spence down TWICE in round seven. The bout was stopped by referee Harvey Dock in round nine!
