we have been trying for months. when the negotiation were touch and go originally we offered hemi at half the price and they didnt want a bar of it. We have tried again to make it happen on the 12th with a cute of hundred k lower than junior. again not a chance. for some reason they are totally off it. so short story our side would do in a heart beat.
also surgery went well yesterday.
That's really interesting, I wonder why they don't fancy Hemi? That's good news about Junior.

Great that the surgery went well. Excellent. Interesting that they are more afraid of fighting Hemi for less money than Fa. But knowing Mr Higgins, he must think that Fa can draw better. Still, Why not fight Hemi in December, taking Fa's place, and Jr in March? Given Covid, no more fights out there.

Thanks craig! Hemi would be at least as good as Winters. AND, it would save the undercard for this year.

No disrespect to Hemi but Junior is no6 WBO Hemi is not in top 10 or poss even top15
Makes no sense to Parker, Higgins can sell a No3 v No6 HW fight off shore , don't think he could sell JP v hemi..
Fights still have to make $$

I'm not sure there's really an international market anyway, Parker's known here in England atleast, as the guy who barely threw a punch in anger at Joshua and the guy who lost to Whyte. Junior Fa's not known at all. It's all about the NZ dollar, ofcoarse Parker and Fa's well documented amateur rivalry was a selling point, I'm sure they could sell Hemi, his Pacific roots and unbeaten record though. Especially as a build upto Parker/Fa in March.

I rate Hemi higher than Fa. Both have faced similar opposition (nobodies) and Hemi has looked more impressive. In saying that, Jr's upside is unknown due to his health issues. And his size vs Hemi's size.
Fa's ranking means nothing to me, as he hasn't fought anyone in the top 20. Lots of top ten guys fit that category. WBA#1 contender Bryan comes to mind.

In all honesty, Hemi vs Junior would be the ideal fight and the winner takes on Parker.

I don't like Kiwi's facing one another, as they cancel each other out. Fa/Parker is bad enough, but with Covid, understandable. Hemi/Jr is a bridge too far.
Not to give too much away, but markk, can we say that Hemi is at least competitive in sparring with Fa?
