A good article and thought provoking that's true. Die out of that bundle you presented Povetkin and Wilder stand out to me. Are they locked in to fight already...? that's a shame because the two of them might be able eliminate some of the wannebes and draw closer to a major bout in unifying the belts.
Incidentally, it was Vitalis aim to step down go into politics and leave brother to unify the belts..... If Wlad beats Fury in the rematch is he too old to follow through? He would need to be undefeated for at least two more years.

Sham, I see Wlad KO'ing Fury and then retiring. Surely Klit can't be that bad, and anemic again...Stu thinks that Wilder will give up his WBC belt to fight Martin for his IBF and not man up to face Wilder. I see Wilder and Povetkin as the two best heavys right now. AJ, Parker, Haye, and Ortiz are unknowns in terms of fighting top competition (I'm talking current Haye). Fury and Martin? Certainly in my top 10, but I need to see them fight more.

Would Wilder really drop a belt to have a go at the IBF? Man the pundits would go nuts across the boxing forums if that was the case.

I am doubtful you will see this happen. Not Haymon or Wilder wants this to happen in Russia and they wont want to go to purse bids on it as the know the Russians have the resources to outbid them if they want to. I'm tipping if the WBC forces the Povetkin fight that Wilder vacates the WBC belt and fights Martin for his IBF. This is how Haymon works - he got Quillin to vacate his WBO and I'm tipping they will do the same this time round with Wilder. Wilder vs Martin - Haymon walks away a winner either way.

I just see all those guys clustered together: Fury, Wilder, Martin, Haye, AJ, Parker, Povetkin, Ortiz, Klit. It's like a horse race, who's going to get there first and beat the others. I don't see anyone dominating of that group. Nope, not no more. Klit has left the building. Thank you Fury!
Did you write it?
This guy is going to rate this era on who ends up dominating it?
If Fury comes out on top then even the buffalo soldier could have been king lol.
If its someone he likes than the era might compete with the golden age lol. The guy clearly has downs sydrome

I thought that Wilder does not need to fight the Mandatory if he fights a Unification bout.
Thus you are right - he could fight Martin. For both IBF and WBC. Isn't that possible?

Martin has a year to fight a mandatory. Next January. Not sure about Wilder. The problem is that the WBC wants him to fight Povetkin. If he refuses, then the WBC make take action. Like stripping him of the title.
