Zhilei Zhang who was previously #7 with the WBA has been removed from their heavyweight rankings. This generally happens if the fighter is challenging for a title next. Either Parker for WBO Interim or Dubois for the IBF could be next. Parker & Zhang have a rematch clause. Stay tuned.

I thought a fighter was only removed from the rankings if they were a champion in one of the alphabets, be it interim, champ, or otherwise. For instance, JP is interim WBO champ, but not ranked in any other alphabet. Weirdly, ZZ is ranked in every alphabet except the WBA. I'll need to explore further. Anyway, looks like JP might have a fight early next year. I just hate that he peaked in training and now has to wait. He's a patient man, albeit not by choice.
