RE: Junior Fa - diehard - 03-06-2019

3???. Maybe three before he fights for a title if he keeps winning. I think he's ready for a top ten guy NOW, depending on who it is. Like Trevor Bryan, who's fought nobody. There's a few guys in the top ten that aren't any better than guys in the top 100. I see him fighting a top ten guy, and if he looks good and wins, go for a contender, maybe a Breazeale, and then maybe a title shot in late 2019, early 2020.

The guy on the weekend was Junior's best win. He's progressing nicely but there's still work to be done and inside out with profile etc. He's getting there nicely at the moment so risk v reward is a critical component to get right at the moment.

RE: Junior Fa - craigyid14 - 03-06-2019

The guy this weekend was dreadful, I saw 'the fight' on Juniors Facebook page. He looked like he'd never been in a boxing ring before. French heavyweight boxing must be of a very poor standard, Fa really needs to step up the opposition to atleast someone in the top 100.

RE: Junior Fa - markk - 03-06-2019

made top 8 at olympics which means he has the fundamentals down id say as thats better than Jp or Jnr did in the amateurs. When junior nailed him with the right hand on the break all wind left the sales.

Top 10 now? No way. He needs to face better opposition, I'd be worried putting him in against a top 50 heavyweight with the opponents he's fought. He needs to be bought up levels slowly.

How slow is slow? He's ranked #8. Pick your opponent well, and fight someone in the top 10.

RE: Junior Fa - Msreef - 03-07-2019

He's ranked 8, but for what, has he fought anyone in the top 50? If not why throw him in against a top 10 fighter, it's a recipe for disaster.
I would almost guarantee Fa loses if he steps up to anyone legitimately in the top 10, the step up in opposition will be just too much, it almost cost JP, and he had fought much better opponents than Fa.

RE: Junior Fa - diehard - 03-08-2019

Well, Trevor Bryan is ranked WBA#1 and has faced the same quality of opposition as Fa. And both are undefeated.

RE: Junior Fa - diehard - 03-08-2019

This guy is undefeated and has fought nobody, and lives in the US:  http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/713216  Ranked WBO#6.

RE: Junior Fa - diehard - 03-08-2019

Here's another undefeated Swedish heavyweight, ranked IBF#5. Has fought NOBODY. http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/651121
