True that, kiwi.  Read somewhere that Hrgovic was pissed off that Hearn (is he Hrgovic's promoter?) didn't get him big fights, and that he wants Parker.  To me, it's about how much money it would generate, and whether the WBC, IBF would come to the party and say it's an eliminator.  I could easily see the AJ/Usyk winner fight Parker.

I think that guys that are seen as easier fights (Ruiz, Hunter, Ortiz, Sanchez) are as dangerous as Hrgovic and Joyce.

JP will stay with current promoters-management and coaching team absolutely no need to change and hopefully an improved deal from Eddie after the positivity generated from last time out.
Only thing is will Dazn get him meaningful fights? His last contract got him Leapai -Flores -Winters and the upside Chisora x 2 . Hope to see some decent names next contract

Yep, none of those fights above were against top 15 opponents, except Chisora. Just. The article talked about Hrgovic, Whyte (not gonna happen), Ruiz II, and Joyce. Very good mindset, if only in Duncan Johnstone's imagination. Still, any of those fights sound good, and Eddie needs some good fights on the card.

Question for you: Hrgovic's manager is pressuring Eddie for some big fights. Is Eddie Hrgovic's promoter?

RE: Parker/Chisora - bart - 01-02-2022

Pretty sure he is Die and he has done a poor job so far in reality- Hygovic not an easy sell outside of Croatia though at least the UK and to a certain degree US boxing public know/rate JP so promoting a fight isn't too much a mission.
Are fighters running from Hygovic??? Dunno .. what does he offer? No great coin- no title -a mid range ranking... not a huge amount of upsides to me. Say if JP signs to fight him and blows him out or completely dominates him the experts will say Hygovic is a bum who was protected and only fought bums.....
No win situation.
Hygovic v Wallin
Chisora
Ruiz

RE: Parker/Chisora - diehard - 01-02-2022

I'd try to get Joyce in a WBO eliminator. The WBO has always been good to JP and anyone in NZ. An easier fight than Hrgovic, has some pedigree, is from the UK, and is ranked alongside JP. Would avoid Sanchez, as he seems the real deal and little reward.

RE: Parker/Chisora - bart - 01-02-2022

JJ is a strange one- he looks so fecken beatable but is tough as hell and huge engine- JP really benefitted from Chisoras stamina drops and that is what worries me about a JJ v JP fight, JJ doesn't rest.
In saying that I could see JP outbox and with this new power pot shots even back JJ up... the fitness prep for this fight would have to be immense.
Again any JP fight v JJ or Hygovic needs to be for max reward... otherwise target Whyte or Ruiz Jr both very winnable compelling rematches .
yeah re Sanchez again little reward too much risk.
If Tyson doesn't get Helenius maybe him?
