I'm not saying he'd beat AJ, as I'm sure he'd make corrections after the Klit fight.  I just think he'd have a better chance than Parker to beat him.

There are definitely things to like about Izu, but I would now like to see him fight Brezeale again perhaps or maybe Takam. But he needs a couple of fights to retrieve his mojo after that KO.

RE: Izu Ugonoh - mippy - 05-05-2017

Izu needs to take an easy fight and rebuild, Takam is too much of a risk. Maybe Jason Bergman or someone like that

RE: Izu Ugonoh - diehard - 05-05-2017

I agree. Needs an easy fight or two, then a tough fight like Ruiz, Takam, or Breazeale again, and then look at where he sits with the belt holders.

RE: Izu Ugonoh - Msreef - 05-11-2017

We have Umar Salamov on the Horn undercard and Izu will fight somewhere in USA
@izuugonoh will be back in the ring in July. Opponent TBA #TEAMIZU

I very much think JP will be lined up to fight Hughie in the US (from the looks of it in July).
Then Hughie will pull out as his dad isn't allowed in to the states. Then #2 Hammer will come in and Parker will then finally have taken care of his mandatory.

RE: Izu Ugonoh - mippy - 05-12-2017

who's going to fund a fight with a 4 million purse in the states that no one will watch?

RE: Izu Ugonoh - U.K. Fight Fan - 05-12-2017

Nobody. Wilder, an American, only got $900k for fighting Washington, another American, in America. Don't think they'll be interested in a kiwi who went 12 rounds with a punchbag and a Brit who is more boring inside the ring than outside.

RE: Izu Ugonoh - Msreef - 05-12-2017

Calculated risk. Hughie is likely to pull out, therefore the purse bid won't be relevant, and they can pay the new opponent substantially less.

Are Duco in a position to be making calculated risks?

RE: Izu Ugonoh - diehard - 05-12-2017

What would be a calculated risk? Moving it to the US? There are good decisions and bad decisions, and fighting in the US right now is a bad decision. Moving to the UK? A good one.
