First Parker trains for 12 weeks and hurts his elbow in the biggest fight of his career, saying later that he over-trained. Then we hear that over 50 people were in his changing room after the fight. Then we hear that Izu didn't pace himself against a guy that's overweight and 40 pounds heavier. Is KB responsible? Yes.

Is KB Still learning? Yes.

Is he by far the most successful boxing coach ever from this country?

Yes - by far.

Critics have the easiest job on earth. Give the guy a break

This is a opinion forum kiwi. You should respect other peoples right to opinions whether they right or wrong.  And KBS entitlement to best nz coach? I think is disputable, there are other coaches well placed to be named better coaches such as Lolo Heumuli and of course Jnr Fas coach whom I have great respect having worked with all three.

Barry just isnt good enough at the top level. Maybe one say but not now. The insistence on having a kiwi in the corner may be to the detriment of parker. Im glad FA isnt with barry as i like the knowledge from his trainer.

RE: Izu Ugonoh - Msreef - 03-01-2017

I'd be pretty happy if KB just got a defense coach in to help out with JP and Izu.

RE: Izu Ugonoh - bopman - 03-01-2017

I like how far he has come with KB but I hope they can bring in new coaches with valid good ideas. It's always good to be open and learn and test new techniques but I don't think KB is willing to let new in or am I wrong. It's sad when fighters loose that they then look within and change team members.

Good to hear from Izu, he seems to have good insight into his loss. Hope he can Coe back with some good fights

RE: Izu Ugonoh - African Monkey - 05-04-2017

Izu still has the goods imo to have a decent career. He just didn't pace himself very well in that Breazeale fight whic h he was clearly winning before gettin stopped.

RE: Izu Ugonoh - shamrock - 05-05-2017

I'd be keen to see Izu come back and am sure he will make a good account of himself he has a great skill set and a KO punch to go with it. Hopefully he is in the right hands now to come out on top. Much respect to him.

RE: Izu Ugonoh - diehard - 05-05-2017

I think Izu has a better chance of beating AJ than Parker. Klit hit AJ almost every time he threw a "loose" jab to blind AJ with a strong right behind it. AJ fell for it every time and it eventually almost ended the fight. Klit was able to stand toe to toe with AJ when he did it. Not sure AJ wouldn't just smother him with punches. Izu would be different. He could trade jabs and throw his powerful straight right at AJ.

I'm not saying he'd beat AJ, as I'm sure he'd make corrections after the Klit fight. I just think he'd have a better chance than Parker to beat him.
