AJ will most certainly not be Hughie on the back foot, but Fury is feather fisted, AJ is not.
The game plan makes perfect sense if AJ can implement it properly.
If Parker is just walking onto AJs jabs all night he's in for a rough time. AJ may not KO him but he will batter him.
If Parker is ducking and coming in and out at angles he stands a good chance of beating AJ.

But AJ is not a great backfoot fighter.

Why would they change so drastically?

Sounds like Parker and Barry have got in their heads. Did you notice how nervous AJ looked when facing JP in that interview?

I'll have to agree with Inferno on this. I think he will be using his new speed from the centre of the ring.

Because AJ wants to be a more rounded, complete fighter.

I don't think AJ was nervous in the gloves are off, if that's what you mean? I think he didn't know how to take Parker though.

Yea tats exactly what im tinkin too Kiwi.

Not long to go now

I doubt AJ be nervous ringtime, or has ever been so in interviews for that matter. I think he is just having difficulty in figuring Jos confidence bomb, and where it comes from.

I've followed AJ his entire career including in the amateurs. The man does not get "nervous" this includes when facing and smashing up one of the greatest amateurs of all time in his second international tournament.

Parker is not in his head, he is dropping the weight because he was flat against Takam and his coach said immediately that he would be losing weight to get his mobility back up.

There is no suggestion he will fight on the back foot whatsoever and i don't expect him to.

Joshua acts like a nice guy on the outside but trust when I say he has a truly vicious and sadistic side to him when he's angered, in the parker face off he was "mildly annoyed" but he was trying to keep it low key due to having to maintain his persona.

There isnt any fear from joshua of parker and why would there be, he has fought and beaten better fighters as an amateur and a professional, and lets be honest Parker hasn't looked particularly dangerous in the ring for quite some time now.

That's what I see AJ doing too.
