But all in all, Parker looks like he's coming to fight.  Should be a good one.

Joshua will have okolie and dubois in for sparring probably

Dubois is the one who knocked AJ down in sparring before?  Who's Okolie?  Will they be similar to Parker?  Is he this guy?  http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/789060  A cruiser.

Thanks Bopman.  Really good analysis.  Confirmed for me that Parker is easy to hit and keeps his hands too low.

Thanks bopman - good to see some pre-fight style analysis of this epic event.

Agree die.  JP is too easily hit.  Against a powerhouse like AJ who has a height and significant reach advantage - Joe's high headed, low handed immobile style could prove disastrous.

I've said it before.. Joe needs to slip AJ's long jab and boom home straight rights hands into the heart and solar plexus region.  For the first 5-6 rounds - at least.  To do this successfully he needs to be on his toes to ensure he gets close enough to his target, he needs to hold his head low chin protected by the right arm shoulder.  Like a matador, Joe needs to move left and right, always changing direction - laterally..  Every jab AJ throws needs to be met by a single power punch.  Straight right when slipping to the left - left hook to the right.  Don't hang around bang, then outathere, move.. for 6 rounds.  AJ will slow as his battered diaphragm struggles to inhale deeply.

Round 7 onwards, always moving, now those rapier right hands are easier to land, add to them 3 or 4 punch combos, then away again and moving, assessing, boxing.  After 2 or 3 rounds of heat from a smart boxing Parker, the combo's start to take effect.  Round 10 onwards - built on a platform of patience and precision - JP should be in a position to overwhelm the champ and take him out.

A fairy tale?  Maybe maybe not but, a possibility for sure.  It all depends on who is the better boxer.

If Joe comes out and starts a jabbing duel with AJ - if he remains immobile and too heavy on his left foot - if he takes every opportunity to engage in a scrap - if he hasn't learnt to cover, protect his chin and move his head - he loses.

Go Joe!

Joe will be ready. I really hope that when he starts trading (cause it will happen) he doesn't hang around too long. if he does, AJ's power will be overbearing and they will clinch. this is where JP will tire, when AJ leans on him.

JP will be faster but the weight of AJ will be herd to endure. Needs to stay away, move regularly and work AJs body all night. If he does, AJ will tire and become vulnerable.

But what do I know...lol.... Im sure KB has the plan in hand. I hope he's got a few plans too. If one is not working, plan B or C needs to come out.

Joe's got a very good chance here!!

That is Okolie.  He is really average.  He's just a massive cruiserweight with a punch.  British Wilder.

Dubois and Okolie aren't similar to Parker.  I don't think they would use them this time round.

RE: Joshua vs Parker betting - Msreef - 02-27-2018

Just went back and watched the Cojanu fight. Parker is going to have to improve a hell of a lot in the AJ fight...Cojanu was coming forward a lot too.

RE: Joshua vs Parker betting - U.K. Fight Fan - 03-02-2018

I think we'll see the best of Joshua in this fight. He's dropping his weight, has good experience now being in big fights, has the motivation to win another world title and is in his physical prime. He's against an opponent who I believe is tailor made for him. Parker comes forward and isn't hard to find with shots. He's smaller with a shorter reach. Joshua can just take a half step back and land with left hooks and straight rights. 9/10 a good big fighter beats a good small fighter.

I think Parker will have success. Perhaps early on in the fight - it won't be all one way traffic. But I see Joshua landing more often and hard shots. Later on I think this could take its toll on Parker. He's never faced anyone who can punch like Joshua. Takam, Ruiz, Fury. All small heavyweights, small punchers or both. Depending on how well Parker takes the shots I can maybe see him going the distance. Maybe 8-4, 9-3 on the scorecards. If not, late TKO for Joshua.
