The rumoured structure for the Saudi Boxing League:

200 boxers
12 weight divisions
Each weight division with a top 15 with rankings movements coming from ranked fighters fighting regularly.

Would you say the Saudi's are taking over boxing like they took over golf? Don't think this is a good thing, but money talks.

Maybe. I can see pros & cons to something like this. Obviously we need more details before we can really assess it.

Jai Opetaia could be back on Anthiny Joshua's September undercard & his rumoured opponent could be Badou Jack.

The purse bid for Canelo's IBF Super Middleweight Title scheduled for tomorrow has apparently been cancelled. Usually that means a deal has been reached. What deal is the question. I can see Canelo defending against William Scull in September & then fighting Terence Crawford in January. Unless Turki Alalshikh has bumped "Bud" to the front of the line.

Jai has been in the right place at the right time. Please, forget the nonsense and go Bud/Canelo.

American prospect Amir "Cashman" Anderson will make his pro debut on August 10th.

Julio Cesar Martinez has been suspended for 9 months through to December 29th, conditional on providing clean drug tests. His win over Angelino Cordova has been changed to a no contest.

Yuta Sakai won by KO2 over Ji Yong Kim. He is expected to return on August 27th in an 8 rounder.

Shogo Tanaka had a tough debut, getting dropped in the 1st on his way to a UD6 over Ryunosuke Takaguma.

Golden Boy & Top Rank both announced partnerships with the Saudi's. So, Goldstar, Queensberry, Matchroom, Top Rank and Golden Boy now have partnerships with the Saudi's.

Bound to happen, with golf and rugby? sewn up by SA.
