working on late march. Working on a complex deal for junior which will see him more active . hemi has 4 fights booked in this year so you will see allot of him.

Oh nice. Could you shed any light on this complex deal haha or is that hush hush at this stage?

Markk, I worry that Jr. is going to be more active as saying that he's going to be keeping busy. I think it's the wrong strategy IMHO. My strategy, again IMHO, is that Jr. needs to take a warm up fight and then fight someone in the top ten, assuming that he's ironed out his medical and personal issues in the warm up. Where I might be wrong is that Jr. might need to spend several fights working on his skill set before he takes on the elite in the heavyweight division. I guess the issue is: when will he be ready to do that?
Funnily enough, Wilder has called in another Kiwi to help him prepare for Fury, with Junior Fa currently helping the American in a training camp.

The Auckland-based Kiwi was part of Wilder's sparring group for two of his previous three camps, with the American dispatching Dominic Breazeale and then earning a split draw against Fury in one of the best fights of 2018.
Here ya' go markk:

Believe the figure last time was around the million mark.  Hope you (Jr) gets it.  Hate to see two NZ'ers fighting but it makes sense.

If we look past all the spin from the cheerleaders it seems this fight is being talked about because Parker has fallen so far out of relevance he actually needs Junior Fa now. I think Parker wins but it's just funny how they rubbished the shit out of Fa and nek minute Kevin Barry is going to be talking up Fa as a dangerous opponent and telling us this is the biggest fight since Fury v Wilder!
Don't know if Parker needs Jr but he needs the money that'll come with it, and fighting Fa in NZ, with the Tua/Cameron hype, is the biggest money maker going for Parker right now.

I think that Parker is relevant, but he'll be taking chump change in comparison to what Jr will bring $$$ wise. So I guess in a sense, you are right. Parker does need Fa, but it's more about $$$ than a credible opponent. And I like markk holding fast to getting Jr the money he deserves.
Joseph Parker Vs Junior Fa?

Parker vs Fa – A Fight That Would Be “Huge In New Zealand” If Whyte, Chisora, Usyk, Povetkin Are Busy

Former WBO heavyweight champ Joseph Parker got his 2020 campaign underway with a stoppage win over Shawndell Winters on February 29th, and the New Zealander is now plotting his next move. Very much in the hunt for a world title shot, or a fight with a big name/top contender, whichever comes first, Parker, 27-2(21) may take a fight with countryman Junior Fa next, as he waits for the big names to become available.

Parker has guys like Dillian Whyte (in a rematch), Dereck Chisora, Alexander Povetkin and Oleksandr Usyk on his radar, yet all four top names are currently busy. So, as promoter Dave Higgins told Sky Sports, it could be the unbeaten Fa next for his man Parker – in a fight that would be “huge in New Zealand.”

“Let’s be honest, Junior Fa and Parker would be huge in New Zealand because of the local rivalry, but globally the likes of Chisora, Povetkin, Usyk, Dillian Whyte would be bigger,” Higgins said. “Joseph Parker would happily fight any of them. Fa has got a decent record, I think he’s ranked number six by the WBO, so if the others are tied up, it might make sense to fight Junior Fa and then move into one of those bigger global names next.”

30-year-old Fa, who twice defeated and was twice beaten by Parker at amateur level, is currently 19-0(10) and he has been calling out Parker. Higgins says it would be good to see Parker “put Fa back in his place.” And this fight would certainly be a big attraction in New Zealand. Parker would obviously be the big favorite to win, and he would be taking the fight as a “stay busy” affair while he waits for one of the big names Higgins mentioned. But this is how upsets occur, is it not?

As we fans know, anything can happen in a heavyweight fight (look at this past Saturday’s Robert Helenius KO Adam Kownacki fight for yet another example of this), and maybe Fa will be hugely motivated, and dangerous, in a fight with Parker.

Can Parker become a two-time world heavyweight titleholder? Or can Junior Fa make a huge splash by upsetting Parker should this fight take place?
Markk, is this still possible, a fight with Jr and Parker in NZ? Maybe later in the year???
Joseph Parker v Junior Fa stalls over 'ridiculous' money demands
Duncan Johnstone

Negotiations for an all-Kiwi heavyweight clash between Joseph Parker and Junior Fa have broken down over "ridiculous" pay demands.

Parker's manager David Higgins hasn't written off the juicy clash yet but there will need to be major concessions from the Fa camp for the fight to happen.

"The money they want is ridiculous," Higgins told Stuff.

New Zealand heavyweights Joseph Parker and Junior Fa are eager to fight - if the money is right.
"It's probably 20 times Junior Fa's biggest ever purse. Joseph was willing to fight for less than what Fa is asking and let's not forget Joseph is a former world champion. That's called pricing yourself out.

"I think they are looking for way too much for where they are at. There's a lot at risk here and they obviously see that."

When the possibility of the fight was first aired after Parker's impressive knockout of North American champion Shawndell Winters on March 1, the Fa camp were talking in the range of $1m for their fighter, believing it could be a $3m purse.

Stuff understands Fa's formal request wasn't that figure but it's still out of scale in the eyes of Team Parker.

Higgins remains keen to try to arrange the fight.

"Joseph would look at it if Fa was realistic," Higgins said.

"It's a big fight and there's a big opportunity here with the sport currently in lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic.

"If we made it happen it could be one of the first fights when the sport is given the green light to resume. There's going to be a real demand for live sport again and we could grab that, we could lead the world.

"Everyone has to get their heads together and be realistic."

Joseph Parker's manager David Higgins hopes to keep a fight against Junior Fa alive amongst tricky negotiations.
There has been speculation the fight could be used to debut streaming giant DAZN's entry to the New Zealand market.

Parker fights for DAZN as part of his deal with British promoter Eddie Hearn at Matchroom Boxing.

Parker and Fa share a 2-2 history as amateurs.

Both are ranked highly by the WBO where former champ Parker is at No 2 and Fa is at No 6.

Parker is also at No 6 with the WBC and No 7 with the IBF. Fa doesn't feature in the top 15 of the other major organisations.

Parker has positioned himself well after a frustrating 18 months of low activity and would certainly have other significant international options with one fight left on his current deal with Matchroom and a real desire to get back in the title mix.

Fa, a sparring partner of former WBC champion Deontay Wilder, has worked long and hard to get himself within range of a major fight and needs a step up in the quality of opponents. A loss to the vastly more experienced Parker would certainly hit his quest to get amongst any title talk.
