Not really, he just needs to stay active and wait for an opportunity. Fighting more than once a year would help.

Guess it depends on what Hearn wants to do with him. There's no US HW fighters that Hearn has in his stable now that Hunter has gone so who knows who he'll face next. Probably Wach as he likes to feed Wach to all his HW stable.
I think Parker has one fight left with Hearn, which will take place after Fa. After that, it would behoove Joe to stick with Mr Higgins and try to fight a top 5 fighter.

I think Unless JP can jump over JJ in the rankings after the Fa fight (win pending of course) and secure the Usyk fight for the WBO which I find highly unlikely as Usyk v JJ in the UK is too marketable not to happen now.
The rest of the belts are tied up for 2 years by the AJ- furey fight deals then any mandatories.
So JP I feel should go in a different direction - taking big meaning fights that people will pay to see under the title level and show his worth as a relevant heavy.
